basic burgers, fries, nachos, and goopy food in a dive location. Be prepared for CHEESE AND CHEESE. Good to visit once and just to say you've been there. I'm from San Antonio and usually go when visiting family. Been about 5 times....always the same. Packed, wait in line, order, and drink a beer or margarita, get your order, get another... More

It's been quite awhile since I had eaten at Chris Madrid's. Just as I remembered, except pricier. A macho jalapeño Chedder burger with regular fries & tea was $14.50. Burger was excellent with just the right amount of Jalepeno and LOTS of cheese. I can not eat these with my hands. Fries - not so good. Limp & greasy. I... More

I will say that I hit this place with some friends on the Saturday after July 4th. Still, I didn't think that we'd see those kinds of crowds at 2:30 in the afternoon! Plenty of seating inside and outside, and a roving Mariachi band. Parking is weak. Logistics inside are sad, but it has worked for many years for them.... More

Arrived during lunch rush and waited 30 minutes for my jalapeño cheddar macho burger. It was well worth the wait; delish! Recommend you arrive early or after the noon rush hour to avoid wait times and secure seating inside. Will be back!

Don't let the surrounding area turn you off, great stop for an easy family dinner! Clean and well kept. Efficient service. The entire family was happy, btw...great cheesecake. Truly is a burger spot, no kids menu that I saw. Mango margs were really good, looks like it gets busy after 6:00 so you might want to plan for an early... More

Burger have an awesome flavor. Son had the Nacho, he's always will to try something new and he loved it. I ate the bacon burger and it was delicious. Not to keen on trying the Macho size...way to big for me.

Typical of eateries in tourist towns, there is always a place which is over-hyped and under-delivers. I'm a burger fan (snob to some), I just love burgers and I have seen this place on several must have burger lists. I don't get it? My burger and the others I tried were good (decent), all were humongous portions and smothered in... More

Absolutely the best burger in Texas! In fact, have not found better burger in the world. Funky / cool atmosphere inside and on the outside patio.

I've heard a lot of good things about this place from friends and family and I read through some of the reviews as well. I'm not sure how they have such great reviews. The food is not nasty by any means but it's definitely not something to write home about. The presentation I think is what makes people believe that... More

Let's be honest, this is the kind of food that helps San Antonio make the top ten most unhealthy cities list each year. You do NOT want to eat this kind of food often. That said, I finally went after being in San Antonio for many years. I found the atmosphere decent, very casual, upbeat, outdoor or indoor seating. There... More
