not even a question. These burgers (and you should go for the macho) are paralleled by no other burger in town....thus the long lines and wait. Definitely worth the calories and wait!!!!

Great Neighborhood Burger Joint! Excellent burgers, chalupas and nachos. The pico de gallo (fresh salsa) is the best in town. The beer is ice cold and the service is great. Sometimes, there is a long line; however, don't be discouraged... It is worth the wait. You will never be disappointed. It is extremely family friendly and price wise, it is... More

We went to this burger restaurant today for the first time in years and were disappointed. The place is overrated. The building in run down and there were many flies in the restaurant, the result of the door to the patio being constantly opened. It is simply unattractive and not conducive to a pleasant meal. You must make your way... More

Chris Madrid's is a MUST if you're craving an inexpensive, casual meal away from the mass of downtown. Simple flat-to-medium patty (get the Macho for a little extra if hungry), served on a buttered bun in a truly festive San Antonio setting. I had the Jalapeño Macho. Fries like you'd make at home if you had a deep fryer -... More

Been to Chris' many times over the years, whenever I'm over from the UK. Never disappoints. The burgers are always great and with the legendary Jimmy behind the bar, what more could you want? Always my favourite San Antonio place to eat and drink with friends.

Where's the Beef? Visiting this place was a waste of our time. The food was terrible! My burger patty must have weighed 2oz. if that! The fries were drenched, drenched in oil, and everytime I wanted a refill, I had to walk all the way to the counter. The facilities were dirty and over decorated with graffiti all over the... More

Cheddar Cheezy with Fries!!! The most delicious Burger That I have to eat with a fork and knife and have no shame admitting to it!!! With a cold Michelob Ultra it's our favorite place to hang out and catch up with friends and family in a super laid back atmosphere!!!

Went with some friends, great local spot. Get the tostado hamburger and the Mango margarita. You will not be disappointed.

basic burgers, fries, nachos, and goopy food in a dive location. Be prepared for CHEESE AND CHEESE. Good to visit once and just to say you've been there. I'm from San Antonio and usually go when visiting family. Been about 5 times....always the same. Packed, wait in line, order, and drink a beer or margarita, get your order, get another... More

It's been quite awhile since I had eaten at Chris Madrid's. Just as I remembered, except pricier. A macho jalapeño Chedder burger with regular fries & tea was $14.50. Burger was excellent with just the right amount of Jalepeno and LOTS of cheese. I can not eat these with my hands. Fries - not so good. Limp & greasy. I... More
