We were all in SA for a Saturday get away from Austin to visit some family and just enjoy the beautiful, strange December 70 degree weather. We were tired of the Riverwalk, been there to eat and it's great to walk and people watch. Even out go to places in Market Square just weren't calling us back this time. Where... More

I love this place! I've gone several times over the past several years and I've never been disappointed. Their mondo burgers are big enough for two meals and they are never stingy with the cheddar cheese.

I had the regular nacho burger -- this burger seems like a strange combo but it is delicious! The macho is huge. Fried are fresh and true to home made. The nachos are perfect pieces of fried tortilla smothered with beans and cheddar. Great food! Plan for a line.

It had been 15 years or so since visiting CM's. The place has expanded and they still serve one of the better burgers I have eaten. We stopped at 2:00 on a Friday and was surprised the place was quite busy. Large indoor and outdoor seating. They still have a very simple menu and do it well. Get the cheddar... More

My sister recommended this as a great place for burgers. Boy was she right. I had the cheesy cheese burger and fries. The cheese will get away from you. It melts into the bun and meat and seals the fixings inside of the buns but it runs over the sides all the way around. The fries are fresh cut and... More

Very unimpressive exterior of the establishment made me a little leery of trying this place out. Let me say that I am so glad that I went in! I decided to order the Tostada Bean Burger. This burger has beans, chips, salsa, of course a ground beef patty and it's all smothered with cheese. It was unlike any burger that... More

My mom raved about this place and insisted we give it a try. We ordered hamburgers, a vehicle burger and fries. Portions huge, food mediocre, Burgers overlooked and fries cold. The vega burger is from Costco or somewhere similar. The ice tea needed was okay but remember you are serving yourself. if McDonalds sold liquor, it would be ranked higher.

I've been eating at Chris Madrid's since I was a college student (in the 1980s). And it's the kind of place to go to eat like a college student--inexpensive, filling, yummy and fun food. The Tostada Bean Burger is the best, and unlike anything I've tried elsewhere. Enjoy!
