Try the tostado bean burger

Be prepared to wait awhile, but the food is worth it. I had to try their signature burger, though it seemed a little strange. I'm glad I did. It was delicious. So much melts cheddar. Tasted great atop the beams and the tortillas provided a nice crunch. Fries were hand cut and also excellent. The... read more

My husband and I were visiting and had to give it a try. Outdoor seating is cool. Burgers are better than cool! I have never have a burger with beans and potato chips, but I liked it. Fries were perfect and fresh cut. No doubt you need to bring a healthy appetite!

5 stars for a burger place? You bet!! A little wait and wait and see for seating? Still 5 stars. Chris Madrid's has been around a LONG time. It had been over 25 years since I last visited and I foggily remember how good it was then-I think it's gotten better. Parking sure has as there are ample parking lots.... More

We all have our favorite places, and for hamburgers, this is mine. Chris Madrid's has been in San Antonio for a long time. Over the years they have bought up adjacent houses to create more parking, so parking is no longer a problem. There is always a line, but don't be intimidated as the line moves fast. The cheddar cheesy... More

When you get that craving for a big, juicy, cheesy, greasy burger and fries, there is no place better than Madrid's. And here, timing is nothing. We thought we would outsmart the crowd by coming in later in the afternoon on Saturday around 2:30. HA! The place looked like it was high noon and every table (except those outside on... More

Tried this restaurant based on other reviews. We had to drive through a not so great neighborhood to get here so we weren't sure if it'd be good or not. We were pleasantly surprised. Huge portions, great price, loud but easy atmosphere. A bit chaotic having to stand in line and then try to find a seat. Worth it.

Been here quite a few times while my wife was working downtown. Just went back again after a long hiatus. Luckily, the food hadn't changed at all since my previous visit. Came here with a group, which this place makes easy to do since you order first, then find a seat until your food is ready. The burgers are routinely... More

If you love cheese you will love this place. The burgers and fry size are huge. You will go away full. The lines are a bit long, but worth the wait.
