Great Burgers

Bring a big appetite because you will need it. The burgers are great and they are big. It is very casual with picnic table seating. You order at the counter. Fun and great place to go for lunch or dinner.

My husband and I always have to share the macho porky's burger or else I wouldn't be able to eat it by myself. It is good. I also get the macho nacho's - nacho with beans and picadillo meat plus you can top it with jalapeños if you like. The food has always been consistent everytime we go.

I saw this place listed in Maximum Magazine as one of the best places to have a burger. The cheese was impressive and think that it is the selling point along with the mere size for the cost. The meat was tasteless and could had been seasoned a bit. The fries were large in portion but a lot of grease... More

The first time I went here over 30 years ago it was a dive with great burgers- now it has expanded to a kitchy place with lots of seating and great burgers for the meat eaters and alternatives for the vegetarians (which I have become). A must go to in San Antonio for great food, and tons of it, at... More

Big burger with lots of cheddar. Good old fashion burgers with a twist. Always a line, but worth the wait.

We were all in SA for a Saturday get away from Austin to visit some family and just enjoy the beautiful, strange December 70 degree weather. We were tired of the Riverwalk, been there to eat and it's great to walk and people watch. Even out go to places in Market Square just weren't calling us back this time. Where... More

I love this place! I've gone several times over the past several years and I've never been disappointed. Their mondo burgers are big enough for two meals and they are never stingy with the cheddar cheese.

I had the regular nacho burger -- this burger seems like a strange combo but it is delicious! The macho is huge. Fried are fresh and true to home made. The nachos are perfect pieces of fried tortilla smothered with beans and cheddar. Great food! Plan for a line.

It had been 15 years or so since visiting CM's. The place has expanded and they still serve one of the better burgers I have eaten. We stopped at 2:00 on a Friday and was surprised the place was quite busy. Large indoor and outdoor seating. They still have a very simple menu and do it well. Get the cheddar... More
