Received this place as a tip from the general manager at the breakfast klub in Houston and he was right fantastic and unique. I love cheese and beans so I had the tostada burger - delicious! Nachos are "unique" chip with a ton of cheese - good - great atmosphere - you won't be disappointed!

took my daughter and her friends to Chris Madrid's for burgers. Simply put it is definitely a old school burger joint. There are about 6 different burgers to choose from regular and macho sized. We had a good time the place is very busy but if you want a good burger I highly recommend it.

Not sure where the negative reviews are coming from. This place is GREAT! Don't worry about the looks...it's the food that counts. Have the signature Cheddar Cheesy Macho style. Yum! Cold beer at the counter or enjoy at the bar. Plenty of seating if you get there at the right time. Patio/outdoor for those spring days. Unfortunately, Chris (yes, there... More

This place is a must if you're in SA. The cheddar burgers are oozing with cheese and cooked to perfection. If your looking for a juicy, giant burger, eat here! Will def recommend to everyone!

I came here with not high hopes of the best burger I have eaten in a long time but boy was I wrong!! The burgers here are delicious. Super delicious. Better than Whataburger. When we arrived the restuarant was packed with so many people. I noticed it was a get in line, order, and find a place kind of place.... More

My son found Chris Madrid's through Trip Advisor and wow! What a great find. It's off the beaten track and a hidden treasure. And well worth the stop. It's counter service, which is a common thread in Texas dining. Both my son and I had Porky's Delight with cheddar. We also split a regular fries, which was more than enough... More

I've never had such a large burger, it was topped with so much cheese it was dripping over on to the plate. Large sheeting areas including an outside patio. Doesn't matter how your dressed ( lots of suits at lunch). If you want a unique eating experience at a great price, Chris Madrid's is it.

First of all I'm glad we tried this restaurant in the day light. The neighborhood is a little sketchy. Happy to see security guard in the parking lot. The food and service was ok. Restaurant was packed. Had to sit outside. Happy I tried it, but I probably wouldn't go back. I prefer Chester's Hamburgers.

The good- Burgers were big and good, I was a little leary of a burger covered in refried beans and tortilla chips but they pulled it off. The place is big and roomy and lots of kids The bad- the neighborhood is a little dice. But they have a security guard in the parking lot.

Knowing that I love good burger places, local friends decided to take me to Chris Madrid’s. The place doesn’t look like much from the outside, and I’m not sure I would even have noticed it if I were just passing by. It’s a simple one-story, almost run-down looking white building. We were there in the late afternoon and the place... More
