Stopped by for food after a show at the Majestic. Burger loaded & Fried pickles. The batter on the pickles was a little thick . The mustard that came with the burger was great with the pickles. The ketchup was different but good. We Bately made the 10 pm kitchen closing

This is an old school bar with great food. Try the Mesquite-smoked Chicken Mole with candied almonds, & creamed corn or the Huitlacoche Enchiladas or both. If you are really hungry the Shrimp Toast. Nice wine list with great prices. Full bar with skilled mixologist. Excellent service. We went multiple time during a long weekend.

Started off with Fried Beets appetizer (very good). We had the Beet Salad and the Huitlacoche Enchilada entrees. Both were very good. The Moscow Mule and Old Fashioned were very tasty. The place had a great, comfortable feel. Service was excellent. Will definitely return.

The men's room is bit scary, but the bartender was friendly, knowledgeable, and nice. Happy hour is worth it for the beer.

This place was a great non-chain place on the Riverwalk, beautiful tin ceilings and bar. Drinks were interesting, took us forever to decide which cocktails to order, our bartender was fabulous I think his name was Myles (I hope). He was more than willing to help us decide! Even after I ordered and couldn't stomach it, he said I want... More

Was looking for a place along the Riverwalk that is not your usual "chain" or feels like a chain restaurant. This place sure hit the spot. It was directly across the street from our hotel and while it is on the Riverwalk there is only a small balcony that can probably seat about six people that overlooks the river walk.... More

Its hard to judge the Esquire Tavern from the Riverwalk, and therefore easy to walk by, but we really liked this place. They definitely have the best fried pickles ever. We went here twice and had a variety of food and everything was good. There are also lots of local beers on tap which I enjoyed. The servers are friendly... More

We stopped in twice while on vaca. 1st time sat on patio and loved the empanada!! It's a bit spicey but super yummy. We also shared the deviled eggs.. Those were ok.. 2nd time in we sat at the bar so we could watch bball. The bartenders were great even with a busy bar. I ordered the pimento grilled cheese... More

I eat here any time I visit San Antonio and have never been disappointed, IT IS ALL GOOD! Reserve or stop by early as this place fills up despite the day of week. I enjoy the variety and uniqueness of the menu. Everything, even the condiments are made in house, and it shows. It is a lively, yet romantic venue... More
