Dark and Mysterious

We stopped for an early dinner. Because we were early, we were able to sit on the balcony over looking the riverwalk. My wife had the steak salad which had very tender steak. I had the burger and fries. Both were generous portions. We did go through the indoor bar area and that was very dark... read more

Yummy food, great drinks, cool vibe, reasonable prices! I didn't know that combination existed on the riverwalk! A must go, but be aware they often have live music, which is good... But loud, so sit as far from the stage as you can or on the balcony if you want to talk with your friends during dinner. This was my... More

Husband and I were on the riverwalk Easter weekend and stopped in the Esquire late afternoon. We each had a drink and split the grilled pimento cheese sandwich. Drinks were boozy and sandwich was delicious. Liked it so much we stopped in later in the evening and had another round of drinks. Love the dark wood, long bar and booths.... More

This was a interesting place. The food was average, but great place to hang out. The bar is really, really long.

We came across this place along the river walk. It didnt seem to be all in the scene in the river walk which is what we were looking for. The bar and atmosphere was great. It reminded me of a speakeasy. Very dark and throwback decore reminded me of the 1930's. They had a live band playing which added to... More

This has a very long bar and a fun atmosphere. It's a wonderful place to meet for drinks and a snack. We sat up front in a booth and it wasn't as loud as the back of the restaurant.

Great atmosphere, the food was average while prices were above average. It was very loud, one group of about 6 were being obnoxiously loud.

This is a good place to enjoy a beer on the Riverwalk. The staff was friendly. The prices were a little high but not outrageous.

We popped in here on our first night in San Antonio and came back for lunch the next day and every night we were in town. Climb the stairs right off the Riverwalk, enjoy a drink on their balcony and watch the people on the Riverwalk! Or go in and enjoy cocktail at their 100 ft bar. The food is... More

The first evening we could not find a spot to sit, but second time lucky. We found a booth where we could sit and go to the bar for self service. Waiting time at the bar is quite lengthy, but once helped, the service is efficient and friendly. The drinks come at a stiff price though, but the vibe made... More
