Come here hungry

Went here recently on a spur-of-the-moment date. Luckily we got there early enough (before 6) that there wasn't much of a wait. This place has not disappointed over the years, it continues to be a great environment for business, romance or just for the best meat in town. Recommend everyone try it. It is far superior to any other brazilian style restaurant I've been to in multiple cities/states.

Great salad bar, efficient staff, and delicious food. The meat was all prepared medium- rare to medium with the option of medium-well. It was tender and seasoned nicely. The mashed potatoes and fried plantain paired great and counter balanced the salt/ pepper blend on the meats. Be prepared to spend $30- $40 per person, but well worth the price for... More

The food was great and just kept flowing constantly. If they didn't have exactly what you wanted they would go and get it fast. Everytime I stood up and down there was always a staff member there to pull my chair in... We got asked if we needed anything or if everything was ok by EVERY staff person who passed... More

On a recent trip to San Antonio I visited Chama Gaucha, and had such an amazing time that i kept on going back. The restaurant is large and meticulously clean. As we approached our table, one waiter was holding my chair, another was placing a napkin in my lap, and yet another was reaccomodating my purse which I dropped on... More

A co-worker raved about this place saying he had been all over the country to many a steak house and this place was the BEST he had ever had! The tone of his voice sold me that THIS was the place to take the wife for our anniversary dinner. I chose two of the cheaper wines on their list and... More

If you are thinking of dining here, my best advice is to go very very hungry. Don't bother eating breakfast or lunch just save yourself for dinner! When you arrive you are encouraged to start with the salad bar, which is pretty good. I like my vegs so I gave myself a generous helping of salad not thinking about saving... More

This place is awesome from the drinks to the salad bar to the countless skewers of meat of different varieties. A bit noisy but not awful. Here's my one drawback... I was seated near the wall with a large party and the 'meat men' frequently overlooked the green side of my card for more meat. It got pretty frustrating after... More

Where to start...we reserved a room for 16 for my dad's 50th bday. The service never missed a beat. Whether we asked for certain cuts of meats to certain amount of doneness, all was done with a sense of urgency.Food was well seasoned and beautifully presented. Hats off to all the staff...amazing job!
