This place is a MUST stop EVERY TIME we visit San Antonio! We originally went there looking for a specific seasoning and discovered that they have some of the best BBQ ever! We love their meat, their sides, etc. Extra friendly staff.

I highly recommend spending the extra money for the akaushi beef. The marbling is the unmistakable sign you have the real deal and It's a great feeling knowing that you can come here, get great meat and end up with a homeade steak that puts morton's, ruths kris, bobs, and bohanan's to shame.

Only 5 minutes from the southside of downtown, way off the beaten path. Quality meats and sides in a no-frills setting. Tender brisket (lean or marbled), sausage (reg or spicy) and smoked chicken. I've had them all and enjoyed them all. Sides include mac and cheese (ok), green beans, broccoli with cheese, sweet potatoes, roll and pickles. This is also... More

If you like smoked BBQ, it's worth stopping in for a bite. Pork ribs were not fall off the bone but they were tender enough and tasty. Stole 2 garlic sausage bites from my buddy and those were really good as well. Really liked the sauce. It had the right combination of sweet, heat and linger. Sides of Cucumber&Tomatoes and... More

Not only do they sell freshly butchered quality meats, they also have a frozen food section, fresh produce and famous "fiesta" brand spices. The real surprise was their hot food deli. I love their BBQ 1/2 chicken and their sliced beef brisket smothered in their bbq sauce. The broccoli cheese might not look attractive, but it is delectable. Their potato... More

Maybe we arrived too late in the day (around 2 pm), but the barbecue buffet was tired. Ribs dry and overdone, chicken just okay, potatoes and rice not hot. The BBQ sauce is great, and of course they have a vast offering of their own Fiesta spices and seasoning mixes. Old and authentic venue, but don't arrive too late.

This place is like walking into the past...old style, small town butcher store where they care about you and what they serve. Really good BBQ you can eat in store or take with you. Real nice people. LOT'S of things for sale you can't find anywhere else. If you are a cook, you gotta come check this place out. The... More

This is a great place for lunch if you are in the area. Their BBQ is really that good. This is a meat market with a small sitting area that offers prepared lunches. It is an old building and is very plain on the inside so don't expect fancy interiors. The price is reasonable for the food they offer which... More
