The Lounge would be the way to go if you just want to see the view & have a drink, but it was closed for a private party so we didn't think to check that before we went here. So we decided to have dessert (chocolate something & it was delicious). The waiting area was nice & they let us... More

I know the rule generally is that restaurants with a view have second rate food, but this is really taking this too far. The first impression when you walk in is the horrible smell of stale cooking oil. Its overwhelming. Then you are struck by the old decor - looks like they haven't touched the place in 25 years. It... We took advantage of the happy hour specials at the Chart House Lounge, located above the Chart House Restaurant in the Tower of the Americas. To experience the view from 750 feet above the city, you can buy a ticket to the observation tower on the fourth floor for $10.95, you can order an expensive meal at the restaurant on... More

This restaurant is AWFUL! The view is all that is worth the money and you can look at the observation deck at that rate! The smallest piece of fish I have ever seen was $33 and when our bill came they said their rates had gone up since menu was printed and charged us $36.99. They waitress said we could... More

Celebrating our daughter, Kaylyn's birthday on July 3, we were delighted to find a Chart House while visiting San Antonio. Fabulous view at the top of Tower of the Americas. Great food and service that we (in California) have come to expect from Chart House restaurants. They even printed a "happy birthday" greeting to Kaylyn on the menus. Great time... More

mobile review Way over-priced; but, you can't beat the view! Hey, its the Tower okay? Mediocre wait and bar staff; Take out of town visitors for a cocktail and a view of the city but save a few hundred dollars by eating elsewhere. Landry's family of restaurants are historically very good and some are excellent. (Vic & Anthony's and Grotto... More

I personally love the seafood selections as this is what Landry's Seafood (the owner's of the restaurant) are known for. However the Steak is something to be reckoned with. I am a long term fan. A must see place in San Antonio.

I ordered the Snapper Hemingway with a side of Asparagus. Both were swimming in butter. As was the side of potatoes my husband ordered. Service was okay. Of course you can't beat the location - so unique. Our favorite is the Lava Cake for dessert. WELL worth every calorie.

It seemed that the restaurant was too busy for its own good as there was several large parties which took out a lot of the wait staff. Several things that were supposed to come our way did not come or were very late and service was fairly slow. Food was good but pretty expensive. The waiter was trying but just... More

Had a three course meal, well worth it for a first night out in San Antonio. Great atmosphere all around.
