Super yummy ice cream! Giant size cone. The staff was very pleasant. The kids were happy and so was the hubby :)

Captain Dusty's is close to the House of the Seven Gables - we stopped after our tour for a treat. The ice cream selection was good, and the serving generous. It was good stuff. They also had two sherbets and two sorbets - our 12 year old had a mix of the sorbets and really enjoyed it. They have some... More

Great ice cream choices, some unique. Very friendly and outgoing staff. The "single scoop" servings are gigantic; take the cup when the staff recommends it! Fun place.

Not worth the walk out of town. Hard ice cream is served soft, didn't even stay on cones, stale waffle cone, no crunch in the butter crunch. Great fruit smoothy earned it 3 instead 2 stars.

They've got a huge selection of homemade ice cream. It's on the Witch Walk on the way from the House of the Seven Gables back to town, and it's a delicious way to pass the time while you walk. Choose any flavor; you won't be disappointed.

Went there to get a sundae with my husband and daughter. I got a small sundae which cost 5.50, not worth the money at all. The sundaes are extremely small like the ones at mcdonalds!! Do yourself a favor and drive the extra 10 minutes to treadwells, their sundaes are far superior.. My daughter also got a sundae, they must've... More

My kids tell me the ice cream was really good... It was certainly generous portions. The place got hit was a lot of people and only one girl working.... She maintained her cool and got through the rush with a smile on her face, something to be said about that. The place definitely could have used a cleaning, but again... More

Captain Dusty’s, with several ice cream shops on the North Shore, is much-loved by many locals. Like the others, the Salem shop offers lots of flavors of both ice cream and frozen yogurt as well as the usual array of ice cream treats (sundaes, splits, frappes, etc.). There are numerous hand-written signs with additions to the menu; these can be... More

I tried Captain Dusty’s based on the Trip Advisor reviews…and am so glad I did! The pumpkin pie flavored ice cream was delicious. There were so many flavors to choose from – almost too many! The staff was very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go back again.
