Wonderful Indian Cuisine

My husband and I love this restaurant and have been going here for years. They use no MSG whatsoever and the food is delicious. I highly recommend the Vegetable Pakoras and Samosas, the Chicken Tikka Masala and Garlic Naan. You really can't go wrong here!

The breads were OK, other than that everything else was flavorless. Shocking for indian food! Even the wine tasted very cheap. I love Indian food but this was not even close.

If you like Indian food this is a great place. Chicken curry amazing! The service was a little slow but that's the only downer.

...especially in winter, when half of the parking spots in Salem are completely covered by snow. But once you get there, everything is good; have been with two orthogonal lunch companions, and thumbs up all around. As is my habit, unless I am talking about beer or onion rings (and especially when I am talking about beer AND onion rings)... More

Passage to India is a place we dine at 10-15 times per year. The food is consistently terrific, with many great vegetarian choices. There is a full bar and a decent wine list. Service is very good too. And a dinner for 2 with drinks(prior to the tip) is roughly $60, which is quite reasonable given the high quality.

Met a classmate from long ago for lunch last week. Since we both grew up on Long Island decades ago, we didn't have much chance to explore Indian cooking in our childhood. But, the intervening years have brought more variation to our palates than suburban versions of pizza and chow mein. Passage to India has a great lunch menu, quick... More

We discovered Indian food on trips to London and are often disappointed in what we find on this side of the pond. Our tongues, lips and elsewhere were burning during and after this meal! A delight.

The best Indian food ---and one of the top 3 eateries ---in Salem. Great flavors and fresh ingredients keep me and my wife hooked on Passage to India. The atmosphere is laid back and clean and the staff are very attentive. The bar side is dark and classy bar-like and the restaurant is a mix of young and old chatty... More
