My Secret Breakfast Spot!

If you are a fan of those delightful silver Diners like I am, add the Salem Diner to your visit list. It is tucked away near Salem State College. Its a tiny one to boot. I get the Eggs Benny one of my favs there. The College owns it now so students can use their college food cards if I... read more

Before the University bought the diner, it was an amazing place. Now it is a dark, sad place. They don't carry half of their menu items on the weekends, having more than 10 people in the restaurant at once is enough grounds to close or stop taking orders. Service is horrible, atmosphere is horrible, food is always cold. AVOID.

Classic diner with booths that have leather seats and a bar split in the middle to allow servers to pass through. Specials hand written above the serving window

So friendly and cozy ... like stepping back in time! Soups are homemade. I didn't want to leave. It is an experience going to a diner like this ...

What was once a great old time diner has become one of the dining options for students attending Salem State University. The public is still able to eat at the facility. I personally feel there are much better choices for a meal in the City of Salem than the University diner. The University did a great thing when it took... More

Certainly not what it used to be. Ever since the college took over they now have a very large corporate catering company running the place. Food was by far sub par it is the same crap they serve in the cafeteria. Had a manager standing at counter the while time barking orders and telling the cook how to cook really!... More

WAS the best diner in Salem. Johnny Pesky of Red Sox fame used to eat there every AM. Bought out by Salem State College. Thanks a pant load Salem State!

Located in an old trailer, it was an interesting place for a good quality, inexpensive breakfast. There were busy, but service was still fast.

Restaurant tucked a way by the harbor in bass harbor. Great view of the harbor and the docks with colorful lobster traps. You are so close to the water you can watch the tide come in. Food was great and there is an outdoor patio. The restaurant is is near the Bass harbor lighthouse.

This is a great original local diner to go for breakfast. The portions, price and service is great. They also service a fantastic lunch!
