I love a restaurant that knows its strengths and sticks to them. This place has solid light fare, especially good crepes, and as I get older, my gastronomic favorite: deserts. The servers and owners make everyone, even parties of one, feel welcome. The are very gracious hosts. All of this great food is served to my delight, with good strong... More

Coffee and drinks abound. It is a cafe. Kind of cute: They provided you a code for the bathroom. Hmmm, good idea or no? The coffees we had were good to better than good. All staff had piercings and tattoos - for what it is worth. Pastries and other cafe food were available. WIFI available and password is on the... More

The Red Line Cafe is located just down the street from the Peabody Essex Museum and visitor's center in Salem. They have very good quality sandwiches, salads and crepes of many kinds. The service is friendly and fairly quick too. We stopped in for lunch with a group of 6, and we had our lunch delivered within 5-10 minutes or... More

We dropped in here for a quick breakfast. The staff are lovely and friendly, the coffee was good and the muffin and granola yoghurt excellent.

Yummy food. Wide variety of fresh and healthy choices. We had lunch there and wish we could have stayed longer to try their breakfast or dinner!

This is a little jewel, easy to miss, but won't be forgotten if you do find it. The atmosphere is cute and very relaxed. They serve breakfast with some homemade goodies for you to enjoy as well as the usual breakfast fare. The lunches are amazing. I love the selection of items they have from quiche to sandwiches and salads.... More

It was a sunny day in lovely Salem when we popped in here for iced cappuccino and cake. Staff were helpful and friendly, the place is clean, has some outdoor seating and the salads and meals looked very tasty. Pity we weren't wanting lunch!

Red Line Café is in a good location right down the street from the Trolley stop and the Peabody Essex Museum. I ordered a veggie Panini. When they brought the plate I wished I had asked my sister to split it as there was enough for 2 people. The sandwich also came with a bag of chips and a pickle... More

Four of us visited the PEM Museum and used the "trip advisor restaurant rating" as our guide for lunch; important for us, close to the museum, interesting good food and reasonable prices. "The Red Line Cafe" offers all of this. Our first choice spinach pie unfortunately was sold out by the time we arrived around 1:30 PM. We decided on... More

I live in Salem, and was sad when Ritas Ice closed at this location. But Red Line Cafe moved in and they are amazing. The crepes are fantastic. I had the Grandma's Apple Pie crepe -apple, cinnamon, almond, crepe and it was served with amazing vanilla ice cream and a caramel drizzle. My friends ordered the Farmhouse Crepe and the... More
