Right across from the the historic Hawthorne Hotel, Bella Verona is a small (27 seats), well run establishment. We made a reservation for a party of 7 and our table was waiting when we arrived. Small room with high ceilings, the seating was a little tight. An eclectic mix of wall art, pictures and ornaments were eye catching but over... More

Bella Verona was one of those places and my husband and I had always been meaning to try but never did. For his birthday last month, we finally did—and couldn’t imagine why we hadn’t discovered this cozy trattoria sooner. It’s the kind of restaurant that every community should have. We made a reservation but clearly didn’t need to. The frigid... More

food was excellent but owner is obnoxious to customers and staff. Rude, loud, foul language...no thank you!

This was like eating at home growing up. Atmosphere was very homey, great service and even bette food. The Spaghetti Alla matriciana was wonderful with great taste and the veal very tender. I will be back, over and over.

My husband and I dined here Saturday evening (2/15/14) and had a nice cozy table with bench seating that was more comfortable that we expected. It's a very small restaurant and only has between 10 and 15 tables. The warm bread and olive tapenade to start was really good... we ordered a 1/2 carafe of Chianti and sadly we were... More

Delightful meal with a great waiter in a family run restaurant with much better than average food. We had the gnocchi which was one of the evening specials and it came freshly prepared and hot. My wife had the roasted artichokes as an appetizer which did not disappoint. Other couples this night were happy with the mushrooms over polenta, the... More

A family restaurant with an extensive Italian cuisine menu. The food was delicious - hearty, full flavoured, quality ingredients. Lovely service. Go there, you won't be disappointed.

This small family-owned restaurant located across from the Hawthorne Hotel is the best. A consistent kitchen with an array of daily specials that will blow your mind (how they do pull this off in a place this small?), together with a fine wine list, provides a wonderful dining experience. It's a must-go.

We had a great time tonight at Bella Verona. Since we were eating out on Sunday, the place wasn't crowded . We had a great meal. I ordered special three course dinner: eggplant appetizer; stuffed spinach ravioli, chocolate cream puff. My husband had mussels and pasta bolognese. He said that both were good. They don't have a kids menu but... More
