Stopped in for some munchies and were surprised at the nice selection of sausages and cheeses as well as some great Polish condiments and snacks. The ice cream was great and the staff was very friendly and helpful.

I was there 3 times for the past 2 months. I love their food. I go only for the deli. If you like European style deli you will like it! The prices are OK.

A poster on the window touts European panini. When I ordered one, it was as if they'd never made one before. I waited a good 10 minutes. Turned out to be a fairly small sandwich not worth the money. Very few tables. Uncomfortable, all in all.

This place is a must-visit. They have a lot of hard-to-find, specialty foods, especially if you are Polish or Eastern-European. The prices are reasonable, and the staff is beyond friendly. If you are not looking for anything particular and aren't feeling adventurous to try the Old World sweets, try their fresh breads or deli meats. Finally, the ice cream is... More

Tons of meats, cheeses and pastries from Eastern Europe! The hours are a little odd (kinda short) so it's not often open but make sure to check it out while in town.

Polonus has been in the Museum Place Mall for a number of years. I've been going in regularly for their fresh breads and their desserts.

I love stopping in whenever I'm in Salem. The selection (especially for pates, pickled items and various candies) is great. The prices are not overly expensive like they are in many specialty grocery stores. The sandwiches are always excellent and fresh. Depending on the time of year they have different meats and baked goods. The women behind the counter are... More

This is a cute little place to eat, with a "at home feel" I had the fish and chips, you get a lot of food for your money:) My husband had the Reuben sandwich...the best he has ever had. Their french fries are so good. The waiter was very kind and friendly, we would definitely go again! It would be... More

I've been visiting Salem for years and every time I have to stop at Polonus. They have great fresh breads, cookies, and pastries. If you're lucky enough to be there at the right time you'll also find great babka. You can get all kinds of packaged foods from Eastern Europe (with a focus on Polish). They also have fresh deli... We had dinner here and enjoyed it. The dumplings and sausages were very good. The service was quite slow. There was almost nobody in the restaurant, and yet we had to wait quite a bit for our waitress. At one point when my husband and I both needed water refills, we saw her sitting at a table browsing her smartphone... More
