My boyfriend and I just wanted to go to try their beers. It was extremely crowded and there wasn't really a good place to stand while we waited for a table. The beer was very good. I had the pumpkinfest ale in a beer float with vanilla ice cream and a bluebeery ale while my boyfriend tried a 4 beer... more

Food was phenominal, My Girl got the steak tips and I got the steak bomb. Portions were generous and all was tasty. We left Stuffed. I'm not a lover of 'good' beer, I prefer light stuff, but the Blueberry ale was awesome, the pumpkin was unavailable as the batch didnt turn out right, I like the idea they scrapped it... more

Stopped by Salem Beer Works today for lunch for the first time......have to say we were very pleased with our meals and beverages. There were 2 of us in our party and we decided to sit at the bar. I had the Greek Salad with grilled chicken and could not believe how much food was in that bowl. No skimping... more

My husband wanted to try this place, we had looked at the menu online before we took our trip. Clean and bright restaurant, friendly servers. Within minutes of being seated, a waitress dropped a cup of ranch dressing which then splattered all over my daughter's clothes! It was totally an accident and several servers immediately pitched in to clean it... more

I've eaten here a few times before and normally it's a safe choice, but last weekend my wife and I both felt sick after eating here (I had food poisoning). Common sense tells me it's a cleanliness issue, since we ate very different meals. I wouldn't spoil a day trip to Salem again by going there. Fine place for a... more

We went there twice as the first time could have been a fluke but no the second time the service was even worse. The restaurant wasn't even busy, the servers just really do not care. I love the fried pickles though! more

I wasn't overwhelmed with this restaurant last year but with 2 teenage girls in my party I was looking for an inexpensive place to grab some lite fare without spending a fortune. We ordered the calamari (mushy on the inside, not at all crispy on the outside), a bowl of chili (too sweet for my taste), Chicken fingers (decent but... more

The food is fantastic and the variety of beers is almost overwhelming. It gets a little smokey inside (not from cigarettes but from what seems to be faulty ventilation) and the service is a bit slow, but the make up for it in hospitality. If you have time to spare or just need a break---stop in. more

My wife and I have visited Salem 7 or 8 times in the past 11 years, and usually when we drive into town we go straight to Beer Works for lunch. I'm a big fan of dark beers, and the Black Bat Stout is one of the best oatmeal stouts I've ever had. The Nut Brown Ale is my second... more
