Very good, fresh seafood'

We thoroughly enjoyed our dinner here. Started with a poached pear salad and a caesar salad, both very good. My wife had a striped bass special that was cooked perfectly. I had the fisherman's stew with linguini, which contained a generous amount of seafood including scallops, two kinds of fish... read more

I have been there several times in summer but this experience was not good.. Overcooked food. Freezing temperature. Sparkling wine not sparkling.. Great that the manager listened to our comments and offered us some free drinks!

I felt the price of the seafood it should have been fresher! Brought friends from Philadelphia for dinner and the steamers were dried out and really sandy. The only good thing was the shrimp cocktail. Loved the atmosphere and service. But for all I heard about how great this restaurant was, not the experience I had.

Living in Alabama, I don't get the chance to eat properly prepared New England Seafood. They cook everything perfectly. I love haddock but can't get it in AL. They cooked it perfectly and I didn't need andy condiments to offset poor cooking.

Comfortable seating and harbor views add to the joy of eating delicious New England seafood. Cooked to order, baked, broiled or fried in gourmet sauces or simply seasoned, you can enjoy small plates or large for lunch or dinner. Definitely Finz is one of Salem's best restaurants.

Finz is always a favorite - a nice large bar area with high tables, restaurant tables inside and out on the deck as well. There's also a comfortable couch area. Food is a bit pricey but well done and presented well.

Once again I visit Finz during my annual weekend in Salem a week ago. All I can say is I LOVE this place! I had the raw oysters as my appetizer and they were out of this world! My linguini with shrimp. OMG DELISH! The service was amazing and fast and she always came by to make sure we were... More
