Special dining in Salem

This is currently the finest restaurant in Salem. The chef is a master, concentrating on Italian food, though not your good old red sauce. Rather he crafts brilliant versions of all sorts of Italian specialties. The room is pretty enough, the service is friendly and attentive. You can be... read more

We live in salem and somehow forget about this great little restaurant. Definatley a great date spot. We didn;t have reservations on Saturday night so we ate at a small table in the bar area, very romantice and cozy. The service was excellent, the bar was full. I had the pear margareta which was fantastic, actually 2, and my wife... More

I came here to celebrate a new job. When booking our reservation they asked us if we were celebrating anything. At the end of our meal they brought over a complimentary chocolate hazelnut dessert as a congratulations. We thought that was such a nice touch and really made the experience extra special. The food was great. My boyfriend got the... More

I had dinner here with my wife on a Saturday night and was pleasantly surprised. I did not expect much from the Salem dining scene but enjoyed a very nice meal with a waiter who was beyond knowledgeable of the menu. Would stop back in if we get back to Salem.

This was our second trip to 62 and we were just as happy this time. The food is excellent and somewhat unique. The pasta is fresh made and awesome! The atmosphere, right on Pickering Wharf is great. You must eat at 62 - you won't be disappointed.

We went for dinner with local friends who had eaten here several times. The decor was very pleasing without being over done. The ambiance was quietly elegant. For appetizers we had veal shortribs and a Bibb salad. Both were excellent and presented very nicely. For entrees we had beef shortribs, a 62 burger with cheese and carmelized onions, and fresh... We went for Tapas and drinks and it was really good. The restaurant was pretty quiet that night and the waitstaff ok, not as accommodating as I would have liked... it was the night before Thanksgiving, so I'm sure they wanted to go home. :)

Our dinner was delightfully delicious. The grilled calamari is just ok, but the fried brussels sprouts, grilled chicken and garganelli were absolutely wonderful. We did not have a reservation, but were able to get a table around 5pm. The staff was very professional and friendly. We'd go back if we come back to town.

From start to finish, everything was memorable. Service was impeccable, the food delicious, and the ambience very calming. Halloween weekend was busy ... what a great find to enjoy some wonderful food and be spoiled for a time.

My wife and I have eaten at 62 the Wharf many times. Because the restaurant is so good we make a special effort to get to Salem, which is 45 minutes away from our house. We always enjoy the creativity, that the owner, Tony Bettencourt, puts into both his drinks and food menus. Last night we had one of the... More
