Get the salmon sandwich! Had it several times and it's always terrific! The bread is baked there and sooo good.

Cute little artisanal bread and pastry bakery and sandwich shop. To my taste, the bread was over-worked and the texture somewhat gummy. I have had far better artisan breads elsewhere. I had a sticky bun that was most definitely over-worked and was heavy with very little flavor other than sweet. The sandwich was adequate, but forgettable. This will be a... More

A & J has a wonderful variety of breads made daily. There is a special bread that changed each day.. You can get pastry, muffins, rolls, great sandwiches and coffees and teas, etc... I usually ask them to slice the bread for me. I have never been disappointed.

This is so much more than a bakery! The baked goods are over the top delicious, and the service is so friendly and informative. I wish I had visited on day one in Salem because I would go back every day! They offer awesome coffee, cider, lunch menu, etc. We bought some delicious baked goods and also some scones and... More

And a cheerful and helpful staff make this a great stop when in Salem. You can get all kinds of freshly baked breads to take home or you can order a sandwich or sweet to eat there. Try one of their scones and a latte and relax. You can spend an afternoon just watching the colorful locals come and go.... More

Anything you choose will be fabulous! It's all fresh and made right there. Their sticky buns are "to die for" but everything that I've tried has been wonderful.

The hardest part when going here is deciding what to buy, because you'll want to try everything. Go early in the morning because they sell out of the best stuff before too long.

I was really looking forward to eating here. I have to say it was just ok. They offer about 8 different sandwiches and I personally struggled to pick one. I bought two scones and upon eating one seconds later my husband said it tasted stale.

King's is a bit like the type of bakery that you'd think only exists in happy rom-coms where the plot is built around someone's dream of launching a little side-street bakery whose products are so stunning that people come from miles around. The staff is a bit erratic, but in my many, many visits they have proven most often to... More
