The food was ok, the service was lacking. The server didn't know anything about the extensive beer list, and had to be asked several times for things like refills, "where is my soup?" and for the remainder of our order. After being told the brisket was sold out, many in our party decided to try the "Hog Heaven" again, but... More

Would definitely come here again. Scratch salad is amazing! Delicious and totally reasonably priced. Eat here when in Salem.

We took the leap and ordered "Hog Heaven" from the menu that consisted of pulled pork, ham, bacon, bacon-dusted fried and house-made pickles. All definitely smoked by the chef and prepared in house. Wonderful meal. If you like soft drinks, great selection from local companies. Definitely, most of the offerings ingredients are locally sourced. This is a great place to... More

We came here after purchasing a deal from restaurant.com, I am always partial to supporting restaurants that serve food using local ingredients and I also love craft beer so this is why Scratch Kitchen had its appeal. I had a burger which didn't come with any sides so I got the baked beans which were extremely over priced, they were... More

This restaurant is awful. Extremely slow service. Bland and tasteless food. Very pricey for soup and sandwich. We spent over $55 for 3 sandwiches, 2 cups of clam chowder, and soft drinks. We will not be returning.

Stopped in Scratch Kitchen for a quick bite to eat. It wasn't quick, but it was GOOD! I enjoyed a Vermont Cheddar Grilled Cheese on Buttermilk Bread with a small side of homemade pickled cucumbers, peppers and celery and a cup of Clam Chowder. Everything was top quality and very tasty. My friend said her Chicken Salad Sandwich on Whole... More

It was a rainy day in Salem and we couldn't find the place we were looking for. I made the decision to try Scratch Kitchen because it looked interesting and we were standing next to the door. The service was a little slow, but the menu was interesting, the beer selection very good, and the food was tasty. Our party... More

We stopped in this place because we liked the concept. Overall, slow service and food quite expensive and just o.k. There are many more good cafes in Salem.

Pig every way you want it. House made bacon the best i ever had. Great beer selection. A very casual dining experience, nothing over $20 and most under $15. Not so great ambiance, not a date place.
