Great food and service

My boyfriend and I tried Scratch Kitchen on recommendation from a co-worker. It was okay. Maybe we ordered the wrong items? We each ordered one of the flavored sodas- the ginger ale with real ginger was great! They brought out house made chips with our drinks, those were pretty good! We also ordered the "Cuban" pork panini, I thought it... More

Great little place. Service was great and waiter answered all questions we had about the menu perfectly. The food tasted fresh and homemade -- even the onion rings (fantastic!) were fresh and much healthier than other restaurants. Pulled pork sandwich was to die for! Delicious. You can tell they put the time and effort into their dishes. Would recommend!

Place is really cozy and the food was amazing! Everything was super fresh and delicious! I had a special, and my sister had a regular menu item. Everything we had was great. Plus, it is reasonably priced. The waiters and waitresses were helpful as well, will definitely go back!

Ok, you can ignore all the other reviews and pay attention to this: this place is a true hidden gem. Food is made from scratch, hence the name, and I mean ALL THE FOOD. They make their own bacon, they cure their own ham, they make their own sauces. Even the decadent desserts are homemade. Let's start with the chips:... More

We had lunch here. Service was slow and the food was only "ok". The homemade potato chips were pretty good but the sandwiches were nothing special.

This place smokes their own bacon! Which means if you get any of the non-bacon items, you are definitely missing out. I've been for lunch, dinner (expensive) and brunch. Overall - brunch is the best but they need to work on their potatoes (nothing special). Try the BLT. I would avoid on a hot day as they don't have A/C.

We happened upon this gem on a walking tour of Salem, one of many day trips from our spring break week on Cape Cod. The menu was exactly what a couple of California tourists needed - local, fresh, interesting, and NOT just another lobstah roll or bowl of chowda! We were impressed with a shared sandwich of braised pork belly... More

ok , so I went here with my daughter to have a late lunch. Well I order our drinks and then proceeded to the menu. As I did, I was thinking I shouldn't have ordered a drink yet. The prices were too high for a place like this. I ordered the French Bread French toast...it was not that great. AND... More

Knew nothing about it befor hand, chose it because we happened to be walking by and were hungry. Was a lunch visit, including two children, on a Wednesday. Seated quickly (though wasn't particularly crowded), and order taken promptly. Server was very friendly and chatty (in a good way!). Almost everything prepared with artisan or locally-grown (within about 200 miles it... More
