Great place to go for lunch

Sat in SK on Halloween surrounded by witches and warlocks. All the food seemed home made and natural - skin-on fries served in a flower pot plus they make their own bread. Even the cola was made with cane sugar. A great place to go for lunch and at a reasonable price too.

We visited Scratch Kitchen while on a food tour in Salem and I'm so glad we stopped by! We sampled two types of sandwiches, a soup and bacon fries and it was all delicious! I especially love that everything at the restaurant is locally sourced. We will definitely visit again if ever in Salem!

My adopted nephew, his mother and I decided to eat here while we were in Salem to check out Halloween festivities yesterday Oct. 25. After standing on line for nearly an hour to get in, I was advised that the fish of the day, haddock, was only available in a fish taco, which I had no desire to eat, and... More

Stopped here for a light lunch and there were not enough waiters. Took over 30 minutes to get waited on.

What foodie would NOT be attracted to a restaurant named SCRATCH KITCHEN? We arrived in Salem late one morning last week and decided that sustenance was in order to get us through our day of unmitigated witch - hunting history and tourism. This place is located right next to the garage where we parked our car ($1.75 for over SIX... More

We've eaten there a couple of times. It tends to be under-staffed but it is worth the wait. The wait staff was friendly, once we were seated. The food was great, and, one time, they even made me a special dessert!

We made the mistake of not eating before our sojourn to Salem. After 30 minutes searching for parking, we were STARVING! The first restaurant we found was Scratch Kitchen. The menu was small, but had a good selection. This is a great lunch (and potentially breakfast) spot. Light meals and a nice selection of beer and wine. The server we... More

This was our first stop in Salem. Conveniently located next to the parking garage. We stumbled in, starving. People were friendly and efficiently. Food was fresh, plentiful and flavorful. Service was fast. Menu has a nice variety. Prices reasonable. Highly recommend.

We have had dinner at Scratch Kitchen 5 times now and each time we have been happy with our decision to dine there. It is always nice to read the blackboard inside that lists where different items are sourced from, and the fish tacos are always a great, local choice.

Great food and very fresh. They seem to pride themselves on the fact that the food is all made from scratch ...heck they even make their own homemade ketchup (which was good). We all had burgers which were quite yummy, and cooked to order. Nice fresh rolls they were served on too. We each had different toppings and everything was... More
