Nice place for a meal

Hungry for lunch as we were strolling around in Salem. Happened upon this place. They claim everything is made from scratch right in their kitchen. All three of us were very pleased with the size and portions of our lunch. Staff friendly and helpful. We would definitely go back again.

This is a great place to stop for lunch. The menu is interesting and eclectic with everything from fish and chips to unusual sandwich combinations. The fries are especially delicious. I enjoyed my panini, and my daughter enjoyed her burger. Beware, the fries are very generous.....and addicting. There are also interesting beverage choices....sodas from local makers, and homemade lemonade. I... More

Both times I have gone it was during a weekday it was slow and I had a leisurely lunch both times. Staff was very friendly and willing to discuss the menu if you had questions. The menu isn't huge mostly sandwiches and salads. I've had the Burger and the BLT. (The burger was better.) I've also had the fries and... More

My husband and I went for lunch on a Friday. It was delicious, fresh and definitely from scratch -- even the mayo, ketchup, and mustard --- seriously! The waiter was first rate, well informed and clearly close to an owner -- he knew it all! what was also so nice to see -- the PRIDE he took in his offerings.... More

Truly amazing eats near the Salem waterfront. Went there with family after visiting the Salem Witch Museum based on other Trip Advisor reviews. Everything is homemade (from scratch of course). My wife and daughter had the grilled cheese, kettle chips, and my other daughter the burger while I had the Cuban sandwich. Also had an order of bacon fries--wow! Salty... More

i was walking around salem with my boyfriend and asked a local where we could get a descent lunch. They recomended this place, saying how some big chef opened it and everything is great. We started off sharing a cup of new england clam chowder which was ok, i feel the bacon was a bit over powering but the clams were... More

We tried this with a coupon, three of us. horrible. Service was bad, food was even worse. I don't know how they will survive because people will try this once and not return.

We like to go the Scratch for lunch on Saturdays. Lots of locally sourced food with the meat being the most outstanding. Husband had brisket sandwich and I had scratch burger. Prepared just right and very flavorful. My 11 year old daughter had the baked navy beans with franks and loved it. Some of the hipster wait staff can have... More

We were so pleased to discover this restaurant. We love their philosophies around incorporating locally sourced food (e.g. bread, cheese, beers, etc). I don't think we've every had a bad meal here and I love their daily offerings of different soups, desserts, etc. It's so nice to see a place make so much themselves versus getting stuff out of a...
