Enjoyed a evening at this pub. Great local atmosphere, good food. The service was excellent and the young lad that was managing the tables was really on the ball ensuring everyone was served. Meal was followed by good local band, did not know any of the songs being from the uk but the music was good.

Excellent New England clam chowder, burger and beer. I had the Pig's pale and it paired well with both. The atmosphere is local and friendly; and the service was very tentative.

Baked Scallops were awesome. Roasted potatoes were good, broccoli was just steamed broccoli. Service was great. Served quickly so great if you're somewhat pressed for time. Unique atmosphere. Fun to hear "locals" chatting around us. Not happy with the tea, tho. Had a slight fish oil taste, like glasses were washed quickly with fishy plates. The only negative for me.

Happened upon this place after our House of 7 Gables tour and said "Why not" - after all, we were hungry. Seated right away (the place wasn't full at all) and was waited on by a cheerful waitress (who by the way seemed to be running the entire place - tables and bar). Once you look past that little smudge... More

The Pig's Eye is a Salem institution. Not the place for a romantic dinner, rather gather some buddies and head down for consistent food and fun times. The bar is great and generally other patrons friendly and welcoming. Its a "Cheers"-like atmosphere at lunch and dinner. Nothing fancy but fun and the food choices are classic pub fare. Juicy burgers,... More

Great place for live music but the beer on tap was warm and the pint glasses were stacked before dried and so left our beers still tasting soapy... If you only drink spirits then this is a great place to check out.

Stopped in for a quick lunch before heading to the House of the Seven Gables. Quirky kinda place, a bit dirty, yet a surprisingly place I'd go back to! Food was good, service while "odd" ...acceptable. Not your average "touristy" kinda place.

Right after our visit to the House of the Seven Gables, we walked to found this restaurant while walking around. It turned out to be a pleasant surprise as the chowder was super and so was the hot sandwich. It is a quaint place with the atmosphere which harks back to the olden days. There was only one person doing... More

My wife, granddaughter, and I ate here while visiting Winter Island. A local pub serving dinner where we had to wait for the staff to arrive to decide what was going to be on the special for the night. Didn't mind the wait at all since the meal, service and atmosphere was well worth it. Definitely order the clam chowder... More
