Gulu gulu has an amazing beer menu both on tap and bottled. The food is fantastic from the crepes to the sandwiches. The staff is very friendly and they know their beer. If you can't decide they'll help you. Definitely worth the stop.

Found this restaurant in the trip advisor. Really great atmosphere. Good food and many options. But, the server seemed frantic and not very polite. Also it took a really long time to get our food. When we asked for refills it took ten minutes and we we're pretty sure they forgot we even asked.

My boyfriend and I were on our way to an Irish pub to have a few drinks before going to the St Paddy's day parade in Boston the next day, when we arrived at this "Irish pub" they were playing loud club music, so we wandered a bit and we came upon this lovely cafe. There was a band just... More

Gulu gulu is very laid back, and a great spot to sit and relax. They have great sandwiches and salads and a wide selection of beers and wine. Very casual, and very comfortable.

My girlfriend and I visited this place three times while we were in Salem. The coffee is good, and the beer selection is also nice, but if you're looking for a wide selection of food items, this place is probably not for you, as they deal in only light stuff. We went one day for breakfast, and I had the... More

Went for the day on a Saturday this past October. Everywhere in Salem was insanely busy, but got into this place no problem. Build your own crepes were delicious, and hot cider was perfect after a chilly day. Live music began just as we were finishing our meal, we enjoyed it so much we stayed for the whole set. Love... Gulu Gulu seems to get better every time I visit. The food is great, the staff friendly and patient. It's fun to sit and chat, have a mug of cold beer, share a sandwich, watch others relaxing, contemplate returning for a board game on a rainy day. The essential downtown gathering place!
