3 of 5 stars Reviewed April 24, 2015 NEW

There were not a lot of breakfast options in this part of Tucson so thought we'd give this one a try. The restaurant seems nice, but the breakfast options were heavy on burritos. Mine was dry and that with the fried potatoes made for a less than tasty breakfast. I might try this place again for a lunch of dinner... More

So glad this restaurant has expanded to this new location, The original restaurant is located on south Kolb and has always been a lovely locally owned restaurant..Newly expanded where two previous restarants have failed ( usually not a good idea ) they offer excellent southwest food with excellent service at very reasonable prices. What more can you ask.

Disclaimer- I don't like "Mexican food" or at least I thought so until I tried this gem. I had the combination plate of a taco , a chili reline and and burrito. the taco had shredded beef and some actual taste. The chili margarita was divine. The service here is top notch, quick. polite, careful. Definitely worth coming here.

My partner and I ate at Poco & Mom's at their Kolb Rd location. The building is small with just a few booths and a couple of tables. The service was a little slow but the food was well worth the wait. We always look places where the locals eat and by the looks of the place that night a... More

This restaurant was recommended by a staff member at our hotel. She said it was the real deal and that her Mexican parents loved it. We arrived for dinner late and it was pretty full. We sat out the back. We had a great server - Brandon. He did a good job of helping identify a vegetarian meal choice. I... More

Staying in Tucson I was located a short walk from the Tanque Verde location and spent quite a bit of time there. The service was always top notch and friendly, from the sparky hostess Cecilia, the quite entertaining and intelligent bartender Zeno (if you have any questions about nuclear fusion....), to the simply charming jack-of-all-trades Sara (they'd be lost without... I've lived in Santa Fe. This is better. It's small, kind of a dive (in all the best senses of the word), fun, quixotic, and often crowded. Went back for dinner yesterday after a great breakfast experience in January. You can get breakfast all day, but I opted for the "Best of Plate". I really, really loved it. Green chile... More

In Tucson for the spring training softball games and ate at what appears to be the original location on Kolb. All I can say is WOW! We walked in at about 30 minutes to closing and were greeted with a smile and a basket of chips and salsa. Great salsa, lots of heat and flavor. Ordered the New Mexico sampler... More

Poco & Mom's has two locations. We ate at the one that is divey and delicious. The food was amazing. Chips and salsa was delivered immediately to our table. I had the machaca, dried beef, enchilada. It was fantastic- flavorful, just the right amount of heat, and yummy. The hubby had a sampler with a taco, enchilda and another item... More
