Lives up to the hype

We went on a Sunday for lunch. We ordered the following: chicken enchiladas, silver city breakfast, tamales and the best of NM combo plate. The green chile sauce that accompanied some of our meals was on point. We loved that it had some solid heat. All of the food was really good. Be sure to... read more

The best is the red chili pork, amazing rellenos, machaca is incredible. Try ordering white and green sauce on about anything. Take home a jar of the green chile sauce. Great salsa and beans. I like everything I have had and I go here quite a bit.

Dos Amigos are in Tucson for the Gems and Minerals Show. We checked on Trip Advisor for "Restaurants Near Me" and what a find! I had the New Mexican Combination Plate and mi esposa had the Chile Rellenos Plate. They even added green peppers to her papitas for her. Also the sour cream green chile sauce is unusual and exceptional.... More

Arrived in Tucson for a one month visit. Since we wanted to have some good Mexican, I looked up the top restaurants. One day we were driving around Ned noticed this place and I recognized the name. Wow! What a great find. It's not a big place me it's only open until 2 pm but the food is fabulous! Best... More

Came back to Tucson and of course, had to stop here. Happy to say, it is still fantastic. Hubby had breakfast and eggs were perfect, hash browns crunchy as requested. I had the new Mexico combo plate and it was awesome. Puppy got a piece of tasty looking bacon and the chips and salsa...Yum! We will go back a time... More

We visited their new location on TangueVerde. A pleasant small place. We have been three times in two months. Every time they have been busy. Last Saturday we had to wait. The word is getting out. If you like really good New Mexican style food, you need to get to this place. New Mexican style mexican food uses lots of... More

A tiny little restaurant buzzing with locals. Delicious, authentic Mexican meals and quick service. Restrooms are way in the back, however, with customers having to walk through the kitchen. Building is a little old and in need of updating.

What a nice surprise. The Cadillac margaritas were great to start. Dinner was superb. Try the red chili burro with the cremo sauce. It was super. If your in Tucson find the time to come here.

We wanted authentic Mexican home cooking and this was it. If you want fancy with pricey margaritas this is not your place. If you want good food just like Mom or your friends Mom cooked and then some then this is the place to eat. Good food, nice wait persons and a happy spot.

Great salsa, green chile sauce and chili rellenos. Excellent service and friendly staff. The place is small with only one bathroom which is only accessible by going through the kitchen so plan ahead or be prepared to take the "tour" which is actually pretty funny.
