The ambiance of this place is that of an old diner. Not like a cool vintage one, just one that hasn't been updated on 20 years. But the food is great. Authentic with generous portions.

Poco and Mom's has been around Tucson forever but we just found it this year. We eat breakfast here 2-3 times per month. On the weekends, be sure to arrive before 8:30am or you can expect a wait. The restaurant is small. We usually get a burrito of some sort with fresh green chiles. For lunch, it is the best... More

Our first night staying in Tucson for vacation was spent at Poco & Moms. We wanted real Mexican right out of the gate and got some delicious stuff at this place. Very fresh and well prepared. The building does not look like much on the outside, but what is served on the inside fit the bill nicely.

My wife and I had lunch recently at this excellent restaurant. We arrived at peak lunch hour and it was very busy but well worth the short wait for a table. The cuisine is New Mexican instead of Sonoran ( most Tucson Mexican eateries are of the Sonoran type, which is great also). This restaurant is all about the Hatch... More

My husband was determined to get a good mexican meal while we were in Tucson. I'm not the biggest lover of Mexican, but he assured me of this place's reputation. I'm really glad I went. It looks a little didgy from the outside, but inside is bright, noisy, vibey and welcoming. We started with the obligatory salsa and chips, which... More

I travel to Tucson once a year, and breakfast at Poco & Mom's is always a highlight of the trip. The servers are friendly and personable, and the food is delicious!! I usually get the Silver City Breakfast, which is hash browns with cheese, green chile sauce, eggs, and beans. I top it off with carne asada, which makes a... More

We found this place on tripadvisor and it was a great find. It is a small restaurant so I could see how it may be difficult to find a place to sit. I ordered enchiladas with red chile sauce and the sauce was outstanding. My wife ordered nachos which were huge. Everything seemed to be made fresh and I have... More

Tried to get in during the weekend but the line was long and did not want to wait. Came back during the week. The restaurant has limited seating and is stark and bare. It can be loud when crowded. The food is good. It seems to be more spicy than other Mexican food. The Mexican rice had a flavor that... More

Horrible experience! My family and I went there to try it out (based on all the great reviews) and we are never going back there. The rest of the clientele were Caucasian and everyone else got the fast and speedy service mentioned in all the good reviews. However, my family and I were ignored the entire time. The staff seemed... More
