The food was very very good, the chips and salsa might be the best I've had in my entire life. They really like to use refried beans though (like really like to use them). The service was subpar, but I think they were understaffed for a weeknight.

Ate in the new restaurant on Tanque Verde in a small shopping area that has more seating than the original restaurant. If you are driving east on Tanque Verde, it is just before the light at Sabino Canyon Road and there is parking in the front. I was there with some friends for dinner. The food was tasty and those... Having lived in New Mexico, I love New Mexican food, which is not easy to find. This place exceeded my expectations! The terrific service staff is delightful and the food...oh! The portions are plentiful! My potato and bacon burrito was scrumptious! Never had a more delicious breakfast!

This is a busy little restaurant! At 2:30 it was packed. The staff is friendly and fast moving. Originally from Silver City they use Hatch chile in their food and real live stacked enchiladas with eggs! Yum. Lots of good comfort food. Small and crowded and worth the stop.

In the old OLIVE TREE location then AMBER now POCO & MOMS. New Mexican style dishes, good chips but sauza is just ok. I'm not a fan of NM style but the folks I was with seemed to like it. Happy hour till 6 $1 off beer. A good variety of Mexican beer on tap. We were a crowd and... More

Poco & Mom's location on S Kolb has always been busy but we have never tried it. When they moved closer we decided to try it out. What a surprise and unexpected treat. Fantastic food at a very reasonable price. The sour cream green chili sauce is to die for. A perfect topping for the chicken chimichanga. There was something... More

Every time I travel to Tucson, I make it a point to go by and get their breakfast. their chile rellenos are outstanding as is their machaca. I also LOVE their green chile pork stew. Some of the best I've ever had.

Poco and Moms is an unassuming little place. Not fancy but comfortable and the help is very friendly. Since their New Mexico style food is slightly different than the Tex Mex or sonoran we are used to, we had questions. They were readily answered and we dove in. The food was very delicious and was served in large quantities in... More

If you are looking for table clothes and fancy dining, this is not the place. If you are looking for great home made mexican food and very reasonable prices, this is the place. The service is fast and friendly. Everything with green chilis is great. Breakfast, lunch, or dinner you will not be disappointed. Don't be intimidated by having to... More

The Tanque Verde location is new, so we tried it for lunch (we have never eaten at the original location on Kolb). The restaurant is clean, and the service was cheerful and friendly, but the food was very ordinary. I tried the chicken tortilla soup, plus a shredded beef burrito. The chips and salsa were good, and our server graciously... More
