Good red and green chili con carne!

Great chili con carne-- we tried both the red & green and both were very good. Good rice & beans. We got this as take-out. The combination plate is large-- enough for 2 people who are not huge eaters.

We were just here, and they did not disappoint. Their re-fried beans are very creamy and delicious. Their rice is good too. They are always busy, but you get in quickly and their service is fast and good. This is our "go to" place for Mexican when we want to stick close to home.

Went there for dinner. The beans looked as if they had been put through a blender and were pretty bland. The Fajitas were pretty good but the service was slow and the margaritas tasted as if they were poured out of a bottle. There are better choices.

We had a great lunch with good service and excellent Mexican food. I had the Taco salad and it was almost more than I could eat, but I forced myself. hehehe

When a friend recommend this place, I was excited because he really knows his Mexican Food. However, walking in I was not so sure the food was going to live up to the hype. The place is dated and looked a little run down. Let's just say it could use a facelift. We were quickly seated and the chips and... More

Had a business luncheon here on a Friday. Came around 2 pm, the place was busy but we were seated right away. Our waiter was excellent, the food came quickly and was very good. The free chips and salsa are very good and you have to be careful not to kill your appetite, as they just keep coming. For a... More

We were taken here by friends of ours who said this was even better than the Mexican they had taken us to last time, which got 5 stars from me. The wait was long but I believe that's a good sign - empty restaurants worry me. The service was odd in that he was a genuine Mexican but could barely... More

For Mexican in Tucson (there are a million Mexican restaurants in Tucson) this one is pretty good. We have had dinner here several times and enjoyed each one. The ambiance is nice and the wait staff seems to be attentive most of the time. The one thing that struck me as weird was that with my full dinner, it did... More

After many years we are Not enjoying the flavors so much anymore. What has changed??? We have many other choices to make instead...The place is always busy so there is a happy loyal following. The wait staff is very efficient.

We go to El Molinito at least once a week. The wait staff treat us like family and we always have a great meal.
