We ate there using an online discount coupon. It seemed like everyone else was there on the same coupon. The service was slow and the food was overpriced. It is hard to get there with all of the constructions going on. Not worth the trip.

Wow, this place was unbelievable. It plays itself off as fine dining downtown. The food was bland, overpriced, $12 for a Pad Thai dish that is better at a Panda Express for $8.00. The waiter was good, I felt sorry for him. He had to tell us the phone line wasnt working and couldnt take my credit card. He actually... More

When this restaurant first opened in the University area we were one of the first customers...it was fantastic. We returned several times. Then came the big move to downtown. On our first visit the wait was very long, but we did not mind as there is a nice outside patio. The food at that visit was just o.k, nothing special... More

Heard about this place from L.A. Fitness but was very unhappy. I adore Thai food and this was an EXPENSIVE and UNIMPRESSIVE lack luster meal. I had out of town company. They lost our reservation so we sat in the middle of the rest with no privacy. We got undercooked food, boring pricy salads that came with what appeared to... More

New location for this upscale Thai restaurant. The owner helped us make wine and dinner choices, and they were all excellent. A great addition to downtown dining!

My husband and I went here with high expectations. We were immediately greeted by a friendly hostess, then our waiter. Our waiter suggested we participate in the wine tasting, which turned out to be excellent (although lacked any relationship to Thai food.) The problem started and ended with the food. It was bland. We ordered it spicy and it had... More

Wow, how I wanted to like this place. I love what they did with the patio, and was excited to finally have decent Asian food in downtown. Sadly, my family and I were seriously let down. First, we inquired about the drink special, which was a vodka special and the waiter had to go back and ask someone. He then... More

I dined at "Vila" solo on a Friday evening in January. Arrivwed about 5:00. Restaurant is difficult to find. Not great signage from the street. It is upstairs and around the corner from university blvd. Went there based upon proximity to where I was and reviews found here. Looked like they had plenty of indoor or outdoor seating depending on... More

Their 0-5 spiciness rating system is a joke; order the pad thai if you want only a mild dish. I ordered a curry that was much hotter than what I asked for. Being pressed for time, I decided against sending it back to the kitchen, and forced myself to eat enough of it to satisfy my hunger. After the burning... More

I have eaten at nearly every Thai restaurant in Tucson (if there are any that I haven't, I am unaware of their existence) and Vila is far and away the best. The vegetables are amazingly fresh, the brown rice is always a delight, and summer rolls are downright addictive. The service can be a little inexperienced and slow but never... More
