Great little Mexican restaurant!

We go to this little restaurant a few times a year, and for very little expense you get so much to eat, you'll probably want to take half home. Our favorite dish is the fajitas plate. A cold Mexican beer! A little hard to find, tucked into the back of a strip mall in front of Tucson Estates on... read more

Wonderfully inexpensive. Large selection on menu. Will even cook custom orders at your request. Always with a smile. This family owned restaurant is quite a gem in the middle of nowhere. Only wine and beer, No margaritas. Authentic Mexican food in a very casual atmosphere.

Went here for some authentic Mexican food. Prices were very reasonable with all sorts of choices. Special nachos with dried beef (matcha a)were multilayered with delicious beans, salsa, guacamole, cheddar cheese and jalapeños that easily satisfied all four of us. Chicken taco very moist and tasty , shrimp taco would have been better with the dried beef. Carne asasda taco... More

It is worth the drive to find this place for eating good and affordable lunch or dinner. They are also great for take out.

I grew up in Tucson eating Mexican food. I'm fairly picky... Especially about tacos and enchiladas. If you're in the mood and not afraid of the drive, I might add, the most scenic drive through Gates Pass, into the Tucson Mountains, then Los Nopales is a must. Its not fancy. Its downright homey in an endearing sort of way. But... More

Nice average tex-mex meal on your way through the desert. Had some enchiladas and chile rollenos, a cold beer and were on our way. But of a hole in the wall, and the bars on the windows could be a bit off putting to some, but those people should throw caution to the desert wind, stop in and live a... More

This was a little "hole in the Wall" that was a welcome site for the area. The enchiladas, rice, beans and salsa were good, but the fish (talipia) tacos were beyond their prime (tasted fishy).

Your basic, average, 2-enchiladas-rice-and-beans kind of place. For me, that's comfort food, and this place is very comfortable. Generous portions, attentive service, lack of pretense, and beer-wine sales - what's not to like?

Enjoyed the crisps. Great service! Can't go wrong here. It gets very busy and they close early, but we really liked the food.

This very popular small town restaurant serves the basic Mexican fare, but nothing special. Options are limited in this area so you’d have to travel further to find alternatives. They have a limited beer selection and no margaritas. They offer a lime-wine cooler that is a poor substitute, so if you’re looking for the full range experience, look elsewhere.
