Plentiful,tasty and inexpensive!

Had lunch here after hiking and were very happy with the whole experience. The restaurant is a small , family run operation with hand lettered signs and Formica table tops. Service is prompt and friendly with a starter of chips and 3 heat levels of salsa. Our group tried the fish tacos, beef... read more

We visited Los Nopales for lunch after a morning at the Desert Museum just 5 miles up Kinney. I wish I could give this 3-1/2 stars because the food was above average. This is not an upscale place, and not a destination restaurant. That said, it is a good meal if you are in the area. My husband ordered the... More

Recommended by the owner of the RV Park where we are staying...told us all of the amigos go there this time of year. Nothing fancy. Good food for a good price. Two lunches and two beers for $19+... We will return.

We live nearby and have many opportunities to eat here. It has a very reasonably priced menu and the food is pretty good. I wouldn't drive across town to eat here, but it's a good choice if you are in the area (definitely better than most Mexican food places around this area). It is also a local hangout for the... As a local, my brother has eaten here several times. It's a very small restaurant with a not easy to find store front. We went to dinner on a Saturday night and the entire restaurant was packed. Since the building is small and the tables placed close together, the noise level is difficult to avoid. Maybe it depends on what... More

From the outside, we were skeptical. But we had been told that the food was good by a local, so we decided to go in. The restaurant was very clean, well-dedorated in a Mexican style without being garish, and the wait staff was friendly and attentive. The food was excellent, though mostly the usual, basic Mexican fare. It was prepared... More

We just spent four hours at the nearby Desert Mesuem and needed a cold beer and a light late lunch. We checked the reviews in the parking lot and made the decision todine. It was late afternoon and it was near empty. We were greeted warmly and offered menus. Before we ordered, we asked for a couple of beers. The... More

This is a hole in the wall with fantastic food at very reasonable price. Homemade tortillas. Very down home.

No frills Mexican restaurant was very good! I had chimichanga and it was delicious! The service was very good. Decor was very poor and very diner like. But it's the food that counts! Definitely worth a visit when visiting Tucson.

After a day of hiking we drove here from our B&B on the owner's recommendation. We were just too beat to go into Tucson. The kitchen dinette ambience was perfectly relaxing after our strenuous day and the dinner served as my benchmark for Mexican food for the rest of our stay in southern Arizona. I had tacos, and am still... More
