local Mexican restaurant

Best little neighborhood, family-run, Mexican restaurant I know, and I do know a few. I pray for winter to return just so their chicken soup will be back on the menu. My friends and I have been eating here for years, and have never had a bad meal. You can't go wrong with anything on the menu. My... read more

Nice little restaurant with tables. But we LOVE it for take out if you are headed to Desert Museum, Astronomy Night in Saguaro National Park, bird watching in Buenos Aires area - where you can stop for a picnic on your own. Good standard Mexican fare.

They have wonderful service and their mexican food is authentic and very delicious. Their salsa is served with medium or hot flavors all according to your tastes. You could get full with chips and salsa before you order!!!

This is the closest Mexican restaurant to our home and we order to go and go down to dine in. The food is really good and the staff is always friendly. During the winter a to go order might take some time as it is very popular with the many snowbirds in the area, so plan ahead in the winter.

We stayed at a B&B in the desert. Restaurant choices were slim. The proprietor recommend Los Nopales as a good Mexican hole in the wall. We found the service to be very good with a decent menu choice. We had fajitas. They were quite tasty and served sizzling hot. Place is nothing fancy. Friendly service. Clean. Fast. Good food at... We go to this little restaurant a few times a year, and for very little expense you get so much to eat, you'll probably want to take half home. Our favorite dish is the fajitas plate. A cold Mexican beer! A little hard to find, tucked into the back of a strip mall in front of Tucson Estates on Kinney... More

Wonderfully inexpensive. Large selection on menu. Will even cook custom orders at your request. Always with a smile. This family owned restaurant is quite a gem in the middle of nowhere. Only wine and beer, No margaritas. Authentic Mexican food in a very casual atmosphere.

Went here for some authentic Mexican food. Prices were very reasonable with all sorts of choices. Special nachos with dried beef (matcha a)were multilayered with delicious beans, salsa, guacamole, cheddar cheese and jalapeños that easily satisfied all four of us. Chicken taco very moist and tasty , shrimp taco would have been better with the dried beef. Carne asasda taco... More

It is worth the drive to find this place for eating good and affordable lunch or dinner. They are also great for take out.
