We just spent four hours at the nearby Desert Mesuem and needed a cold beer and a light late lunch. We checked the reviews in the parking lot and made the decision todine. It was late afternoon and it was near empty. We were greeted warmly and offered menus. Before we ordered, we asked for a couple of beers. The... More

This is a hole in the wall with fantastic food at very reasonable price. Homemade tortillas. Very down home.

No frills Mexican restaurant was very good! I had chimichanga and it was delicious! The service was very good. Decor was very poor and very diner like. But it's the food that counts! Definitely worth a visit when visiting Tucson.

After a day of hiking we drove here from our B&B on the owner's recommendation. We were just too beat to go into Tucson. The kitchen dinette ambience was perfectly relaxing after our strenuous day and the dinner served as my benchmark for Mexican food for the rest of our stay in southern Arizona. I had tacos, and am still... More

If you are in the Tucson area, especially in the vicinity of Saguaro National Park/West or the Sonora Desert this is the place to go for really good Mexican food. The food is done well, the people are friendly and the service is great. They obviously put their resources into the food and service and not the ambiance. But what... More

I had heard from several people that this was a good place to go. My husband and I were very disappointed. We thought the food was bland. We won't go again.

Got a tip about this place from a local, and it was spot-on. Forget ambiance, it's all about the food here. Which is GREAT, and the prices are low to boot. Somebody in the kitchen really knows what they are doing. My new favorite in Tucson among many higher-priced choices!

Little restaurant in a out pf the way spot, but great food. Had enchiladas and they were great. Real Sonoran style. Just getting used to our area and was pleased to find something within six miles. Worth the drive!

This restaurant has zero ambience but excellent food and very low prices. The flan was the best I've ever had. I had the chicken fajita salad, and my husband had a combination plate with taco, tamale, and enchalada. We both found everything very good.

We winter here in Tucson and this restaurant is one of the first places we go to when we return to Tucson. The Friday special: fish tacos......delicioso! The tilapia was grilled, not breaded and fried, which is a common practice in most restaurants. The salsas (mild and spicy are served) are tasty and flavorful. Our waiter was attentive and friendly... More
