Good lunch stop for a big salad

Sweet tomatoes has a large salad bar as you enter the restaurant. You pile up your plate with salad, then pay, then find a table. After your salad there is another section with about 6 varieties of soup, chili, macaroni and other pastas, muffins, mini pizza, fruit, and ice cream. It's a healthy... read more

Great place. Self service in a cafeteria style setting. Informal and easy navigation of the food areas. They have a variety of soups and chili. Marvelous salad (you make it your self, so if it is not good, you have yourself to blame.). Lots of choices of leafs and add ons and dressings. Breads and muffins to accompany the salads.... More

So happy there is a Sweet Tomatoes (or two) in Tucson to enjoy. We love the variety of salads, soups, pastas and bakery options that you can choose from. We noticed in Tucson, you could get a sriracha carrot soup - very hearty and warming on a cooler day. Never get tired of going to this place and, if you... More

Our son wanted to go there for lunch and we agreed. We had already crossed off Sweet Tomatoes in Florida and were hoping AZ might be different. Nope same opinion. To increase profits they continue to cheapen their product. It used to be chicken won ton salad. No chicken anymore. Tried a chicken pasta soup. Saw no chicken in that... More

A salad bar makes a great lunch except when you find someone else's hair in your salad. This sweet tomatoes isn't all that clean or neat. The hair convinced me not to go back. Took a long time to get someone to look at my plate of hair salad, and by the time a manager came I had lost my... More

Salad, soup, and pasta. 10-15 years ago, this formula was interesting, but it's just not very interesting anymore. The salad bar has a number of toppings, but many fewer "pasta, rice, cole slaw, potato" salads than it used to. I used to enjoy some variety. The soups were varied, but I found my self not very interested in really any... More

This is a great value, and something for everyone. 8 soups - so it was perfect on a chilly evening with some corn bread

The food at Sweet tomatoes, is ALWAYS fresh, though the mushrooms are not always up to par, but there is so much else to eat, who cares! They have a wide variety for everyone, Their deserts are also of a wide variety. My favorite is LEMON lava cake, which they do NOT have often enough. The staff at this restaurant... More

My wife and I have been going to this restaurant for years and normally have had good experience with it. Tonight I tried to call to get some information, was on hold 20 minutes and no one answered.

The restaurant offers health food including vegan. The employees are hard working, respectful, and helpful. The Sweet Tomatoes offers on line coupons (join the club), lunch and dinner prices (all a very good value). The Sweet Tomatoes on Stone Ave is near the Tucson Mall, great for shopping and walking off that extra serving...The Salad bar is huge (over 40)... More
