Best Meal We Had in Tucson

Tucson advertises itself as a "foodie" town, but we were totally underwhelmed on our 5-day visit (I'll admit our bar is set pretty high given that we live in a foodie town + are near the glories of Berkeley, Oakland, and San Francisco). Acacia was the notable exception--the food, service, and... read more

We could see this restaurant from our hotel terrace across the street. Nothing special from the outside. You would never stop there when you are on the road. One of the most unattractive facades I have ever seen for a restaurant. You can't even see if it is open or not from the outside. We went there because we were... More

Modern decor. Nice wine list and bar offerings. Very friendly service. The food is nicely prepared and the set menu (with wine pairings) was a hit. The bar area looks like it is a happening place. We requested a quiet booth, which worked well. We would definitely go back.

AND give me 4 more orders of these awesome Chicken Potstickers!! ... served with a Thai sauce, ginger shavings and hot wasabi I was left lusting for more. We came here for lunch on a recommendation by locals and plan to come back soon for dinner. Service is attentive, the decor tasteful and a step up from modern/ chic. Views... More

Love to eat at Acacia when in Tucson. The service is top notch. The wine pairing is my all time favorite. Six small plates with delicious flavors paired with really wonderful wine selections.

Great food, although a bit pricey. Excellent service. Called a few minutes before we arrived (party of 14). Given a private room. Fantastic!

We asked for a table near the window at lunch, but it proved to be too bright so they let us move one table away. We still had the great view of the city, but the sun was not in our eyes. Our table ordered the calamari, two different salads and the salmon and all were very good.

My husband and I went for our anniversary. We mentioned it as we walked in, but did not expect anything from it. The waitstaff were attentive and helpful, being very accommodating around our allergies. I had a signature drink and a glass of wine......both were above expectations. The food was excellent. We were offered a complimentary dessert and it came... More

Maybe 4.5 stars. 4 of us had dinner and food ranged from very good to superb. The best was the charcuterie- great combo of meats and cheeses. Calamari better than most we've had. I thought salmon, while good, had too much sauce that somewhat overwhelmed dish. On other hand Sea bass done just right. 2 had the schnitzel , which... More

We had visited Acacia for Thanksgiving a couple of years ago and although the price was quite expensive, we always wanted to try it again for dinner. We had the opportunity while visiting Tucson last month to do just that. The menu is varied but the quality of food was not impressive. My husband ordered a filet mignon and I... More
