RA isn't hopelessly bad, just mostly bad. The waiters are typical teens, early-20's --- who cares, let me get out my opening line and then get you your uncooked fish as soon as possible. The food is oddly off-temperature even for hot Tucson. Shouldn't sushi feel like it came right off the ice? The flavors are bland. The yellow tail... More

Ra has the best variety and the freshest sushi in Tucson. They always have great lunch and happy hour specials. If you sign up for their email list they will send really good coupons too.

I'll start by saying that we enjoyed the food- 5 stars there, but the service and atmosphere was 1 star. I came a few years ago and felt somewhat the same at that time as well. Our server made zero effort to interact with us. She poured water, then walked away, dropped off food, then walked away..literally almost no speaking.... More

I had the Dinner Sashimi and it was wonderful. 4 types of fish, 4 pieces each on crispy rice noodles with a bowl of hot rice on the side. Everything was super fresh and tender, so tasty. Tuna, salmon, yellowtail were all excellent. Whitefish isn't my favorite sashimi because it is pretty tasteless in general. The service was good, too,... More

We had the Bento box lunches and enjoyed the food. There was plenty to eat, at a good price. Both indoor and outdoor seating. We skipped this restaurant for dinner, as it was packed and noisy.

you wouldn't think of sushi when you think of restaurants in the desert, but RA is consistently good no matter when you go. They always have a wide selection (even affordable Toro if you go early in the evening) of sushi and even hot meals if raw fish isn't your thing.

Very loud at dinner time and later-the food is consistent but not fantastic. Décor is pleasant. Dinner time is not for intimate conversation.

I've had lunch here a few times while visiting the area for work. The lunch specials are a good deal and they have some interesting appetizers. Service tends to be fast and friendly. The outdoor seating is nice too.

Four of us go frequently to RA. We just love the freshness of all the food on the menu. Great selection and great service. Many of the servers attend the University of Arizona. We drive nearly 20 miles each way to have this wonderful food. Thanks RA, Ed and Judy, Saddlebrooke

Service was excellent. Sushi was good, but not spectacular. But for a landlocked city, we thought it was pretty good.
