Stopped in here with a bunch of coworkers and ordered the 3 meat combo dinner. Came with a hot link, brisket and a rib. Brisket was great and the sauce it was covered in was also delicious. The hot link was average and the Rib left something to be desired. It was a bit too fatty and over charred where... More

This restaurant was delicious. The ribs were mouth watering, very tender. And the folks at the restaurant were as nice and sweet as could be. The outside is nothing to look at but inside the food is fantastic.

We hadn't really seen many bbq places here in Tucson, although quite honestly we weren't really looking. Mexican food is what we were here for. Bbq is best in Texas, right? Well, this compared quite well to some of our favorite spots in the Lone Star state. I had the sausage and my husband the beef. Both so tasty and... More

We're in Tucson for a weekend getaway, staying near the airport, and of course, checked out tripadvisor for a nearby restaurant. We thought we'd give The Original Mr. K's Barbecue a try. Excellent barbecue. I had the 3-meat combo plate (rib, sliced brisket and a hot link; comes with 2 sides) and my wife had a BBQ Pork sandwich (it's... More

While staying at the Staybridge in Tucson we checked Tripadvisor for restaurants near the hotel.. One of the restaurants we decided to check out was Mr K's. We both had a combo dinner. We had ribs, beef and smoked sausage. The sides were very good and the meats were excellent. The serving size was generous. We liked the barbeque sauce... More

My husband and I heard about Mr. K's Barbecue while staying in Tucson recently. OK, the restaurant looks like an old time barbecue joint! Like a hole in the wall, and not in the best location. However, the restaurant was clean, the counter help friendly and the food.....WOW! Being an Atlanta resident for many years, we do enjoy our barbecue.... More

Stopped her on a fluke after reading the reviews on trip advisor. We ended up ordering the $35 meal deal and ordered beef brisket, ribs, beans and coleslaw. The BBQ sauce is sweet with just a hint of spice. The coleslaw is also sweet and I could taste a hint of cinnamon. The staff was friendly and overall it was... More

I've had worst and I've had better but overall the food at The Original Mr. K's was good. The portions were small for the price. The chicken and the catfish was tasty, the pork ribs & the beef both were tender. The potato salad needed to jazzed up slightly but was ok as were the beans...but the beans were not... More

Being a Cali girl I grew up eating bbq that included really good hot links. I also enjoyed amazing fried catfish and traditional sides like candied yams and greens. For years I have tried bbq places and their food just didnt compare so I always just make it myself. Finally by a random and very happily welcomed mistake I found... More

Service and food great. Went at lunch but not crowded at all. Close to airport and associated businesses near airport which saves time from going downtown. food was awesome, tasty and amazing portions.
