Our family LOVES Tex-Mex. El Charro did a wonderful job with the food and service. Among the 6 of us, we hit every corner of the menu, and everyone had a delicious meal. Patio was perfect on a summer night, although they were way behind in getting tables cleaned. Absolutely recommend this place!

I had the shrimp chi-charron.....it was outstanding! It is bacon wrapped shrimp and caribe peppers stuffed with queso! There were about 10 shrimp on my plate that I had left overs to take back to the resort for round two.....Soooo good! They also have fabulous wines from Australia...I had the cab sav merlot mix and it paired fantastic with my... More

Food was incredible! Tried a delicious Chicken Mole. Great staff and loved their Ta Mango Margarita. The food was so good we made sure to go have lunch before our long trip back to Vegas! Can not wait to try their sister restaurant in the MGM Vegas!

I've eaten here before and food was very good - this trip, not so much. Prickly Pear Margarita was great, food was not what I expected and the chips tasted as though they were store bought. Waiter was attentive but service was slow. Overall disappointed

I thought it would be nice to El Charro since I hadn't been for a very long time, boy was I disappointed. It was my birthday, the host was clueless, told him we wanted to be sat on the Patio, tried to sit us inside, reminded him, then he sat us at a dirty table, ripped and burned tablecloth, no... More

My family of 3 visited El Charro for an early evening meal on a Saturday in early June. The building is interesting and really draws you in...kind of place you'd like to explore! I'd eaten here 5-6 years earlier on a work-related outing and enjoyed the food, so was looking forward to sharing the unique location and good food with... More

Great mexican food, they have a shredded beef called Carne Seca which is intially dried and then cook with sauces. Started with a cheese crisp which is as large (round) as a 14 inch pizza, cut into slices, very thin and crisp, good flavor.Tried some in the Burritto served enchilada style, companion has the dinner platter of the Carne Seca,... This the original El Charro and known for their carne seca. It's a great spot to take business or out of town visitors as it does have a good SW/Mexican atmosphere. The food is good and a touch different. The service varies from very good to very average. It can be crowded at peak times, plan ahead. Get the carne... More

The original El Charro restaurant on Court Street in downtown Tucson is a great place to take visitors. It's in an old house and tables are placed in various rooms, plus there's an outside patio which is really pleasant. You feel like you're in Mexico. The food is always good and they offer dishes which you don't find in "ordinary"... More
