Good food and nice atmosphere

Had Sunday evening dinner with a friend and had plenty of time, so the somewhat slow service did not matter. The restaurant was busy. I liked the menu display in pictures as you entered the restaurant. It was helpful for ordering. Our light healthy appetizer, vegetable Gyoza, a boiled dumpling... read more

My husband and I came to this place searching for delicious Japanese in Tucson. We come from San Diego so we've had some delish sushi to compare it to. We were so happy with this place and have come back many times. My husband loves Udon, so gets his fix here (and loves it). He's also very satisfied with the... More

I lived in Japan for many years and can safely claim to know Japanese food well. Since moving to the U.S., I have accepted the fact that I should lower my expectations of Japanese restaurants. I have been to a few Japanese restaurants here and some of them were good enough. I had high hopes for Yoshimatsu but came out... More

Visited with family, my first ever Bento Box! What a treat, a gorgeous place to eat with a buzzing vibe. You can even buy cute Japanese memorabilia in the shop. Really great place and the Kara Age Bento is to die for.

I enjoyed my soba noodles with shrimp and they poured a generous glass of plum wine. My partner had one of those plates that had salad, etc. but the main portion was pretty bland on flavor. It looks like they have good sushi, but we didn't try it. We will go back soon and try that.

Five of us went to Yoshimatsu for happy hour sushi and dinner. It took almost a half hour for the sushi to arrive. We thought it odd that the sushi took so long to get to the table since we were the only people present. I ordered pork katsu rice bowl with extra vegetables. Another 20 minute wait after the sushi... More

I'd never think one of my favorite sushi places of the whole world. The food is great and you have the option of sushi or other typical Japanese dishes.

A change to service at the table rather than ordering at the register vastly improved customer experience here. I'm not a huge fan of sushi, unlike hubby and kid, but we all can eat here, happily and healthily. I love the fried tofu appetizers and the tempura vegetables. The sometimes kitschy, pop culture memorabilia that decorates walls and display areas... More

My boyfriend and I went there tonight. We went in at 5:30-ish and there were a lot of seats open. We were seated beside the window, given with two glasses of water and just ONE menu! We had 2 people, the restaurant was not entirely full, BUT given with JUST ONE menu. We ordered two appetizers (Agedashi Tofu and Plum... More
