This is a wonderful, historic restaurant in Tucson. Atmosphere is cozy and classy, with friendly staff and nicely presented great food. The jazz group was enjoyable to hear during our meal. Have visited twice - once for Happy Hour, and was pleased with the special menu and good prices. Next time we came for dinner with our out of town... More

It always means a lot to us when you bring people back in with you. Thank you. Next time please let us know if you would like your friends to see some of the 150 year old rooms that are in the original house The main dining room was added on in the 1880's as a country store. I will... More

So much research before my trip, so much trouble to go back across town to get there, and with so much invested I really wanted to like it, okay I’ll say it, so much. First it is a little remote, we were on foot, the convention center is across the street but without a convention they are desolate places. We... More

I apologize and take responsibility for a badly butchered piece of expensive beef. I am so sorry. I am glad you enjoyed your seafood. And yes, instead of walking through the commercial and urban renewal district of the trolley line, I would have recommended you explore the Barrio Libre National Historic District which we are in. But you are a... More

We go to Cushings evey year and are never disappointed. We go with a group of friends to listen to their jazz band and have an enjoyable evening downtown ,an area of town which we do not care very much, too far from where we are staying after a day of hiking . The menu is simple but consistently good... More

I hope we will see you next year as well. We are looking forward to the summer months to put some new dishes on the menu......but our salmon, carrot cake and meat loaf are here to stay! Same with the jazz players. We feel very lucky that they play at Cushing Street each Saturday. I always enjoy passing along compliments... More

We wanted a restaurant with Southwest influenced American cuisine, not the usual burrito joint, and were delighted by Cushing Street. Arriving after 7:00 we found that the dinner crowd had vanished, and were seated right away. Food was imaginative and delicious, service attentive. Location relatively close to downtown was easy to get to, parking a snap in the lot right... More

Warm, inviting, charming, cosy, free parking, not intrusive servers, delicious appetizers....the mushrooms and the smoked trout. Then after the beet salad, we shared the swordfish which was moist & seasoned well but not overdone. We'd go back in a minute! Cushing Street would be good for conversations with friends because it's not noisy--at 7 pm on a weeknight.

I hope you know how much a review such as yours means to everyone working at Cushing Street. There are so many moving parts and people in a restaurant, it takes a team to tend to all the aspects you complimented us on. Thank you. We hope we can serve you again when you are in Tucson. More

Food is good and reasonable. It has a wonderful courtyard in the back where very good jazz groups play.

We hope you will come back often. The courtyard is lush right now and with the flawless weather we've been having, it's a great place for a bite to eat under the stars. I'll let the jazz musicians know that they received a compliment from you. Our Saturday night jazz is something we are most proud of! Thank you for... More

Stopped here before a show at the Tucson Music Hall, the parking lot attendant recommended it and it's a quick walk from the lot. Unfortunately for us, the Gem Show had just closed up; the place was packed and we didn't have a reservation. The hostess offered to let us sit at the table right behind her which was very... More

Oh gosh. I am so sorry your waiter was evidently in the weeds. The hostess said you were wonderful, "very cool" to be exact. Thank you for your patience. It can get hectic before the shows and clearly you knew how to deal with it both in what you ordered, and your frame of mind. Thank you for the compliments.... More

Last week, we had friends in from out of town and we were showing them our downtown. On a whim, we decided to swing by Cushing Street without a reservation hoping that they may have a table available. We walked in early around 5:30 and there seemed to be plenty of opened tables. The hostess greeted us with a huge... More

We love hockey fans!!! We are also very proud of our hostess and how she has the magic touch, keeping the front of the house running smoothly. Thank you for your compliments on the food and drink. The best thing going for the Cushing Street Bar and Restaurant is that it is just across the street from the Tucson Community Center (TCC). So if you're attending an event it's a great place to grab a bite to eat or have a drink beforehand. Even better, you can leave your car in their parking lot and avoid the... More

Sir, we provide parking to accommodate our customers while they are at the restaurant, not while they are attending other venues. In your reviews you mention that you attend church, you frequently dine out and paying over $100 for a meal is within your budget. Clearly you can afford to pay for parking at the TCC. I don't understand why... More
