It's been a number of years since I last dined here but I was curious to see what changes had been made with a new team at the helm - I was thrilled to see some of my favorite dishes (like Joe's Special) still on the menu and was very pleased with the new items, like the Italian Nachos. I... More

Once upon a time, this was my favorite Italian restaurant. I really liked the decor, fresh salad, steaming pots of soup, the pasta bar. It was all great. For various reasons, I hadn't returned for quite awhile. Sadly, I won't return again until I learn that there have been improvements. I was there at lunch time on Saturday. The pots... More

This good Italian restaurant has very good food. Not from a can like a previous reviewer stated. Salad bar good, not great. Try the wedding soup. Veal picatta and veal park both very good

We hosted an 80th birthday luncheon for my mother-in-law and everything was perfect! We were a party of 18 for lunch on a Sunday and the food was excellent and the service was top notch! The prices are very reasonable and the atmosphere was great - not too loud so everyone could hear each other. The entire experience exceeded my... More

Hardly good Italian food. I think everything I put in my mouth was out of a can!! Ordered the calamari, delivered soaked in the worst tomato sauce ever! Cheese stick melted beyond recognition. Salads probably made the day before or worse. Ordered 2ea. Joe's Famous pasta with red sauce and requested add sausage, I got pasta with the same terrible... More

We returned to have lunch after not visiting for six months and it was just like yesterday. The staff is very friendly and the food is superb. The price is reasonable and you are not rushed. All in all,a worthwhile visit while in Tucson

I have eaten here for many years with my family. We love the place and up until today would have given them 5 stars across the board. The atmosphere has brought the score for Mama Louisa's way down. We still love the food, but the beautiful wood paneled bar area that had soft dimly lit romantic lighting for fun and... More

Really enjoyed our dinner here with friends recently! Started with fried zucchini, mozzarella sticks and an added bonus of Italian nachos.....HIGHLY recommend the nachos -- they were amazing, flavorful, noodle based instead of chips and the freshest pesto ever! Then, we all ordered very different things for dinner....pastas were of course fantastic...chicken with vegetables was also great, but the favorite... More

I love Mama Louisa's food - excellent sauce that smells divine. We have been customers there for over 20 years. My most recent visit was in June 2014 when a group of us had a small reunion from our high school days. Several people in the group had lived in Tucson before and had come back for this weekend. The... More
