Reliable standard Italian food.

Their homemade pasta is quite good and their food is always well-made. It's not super exciting and is very standard-fare Italian but it's consistently good. I'd skip the deserts - the tiny serving of Spumoni costs 6 dollars. The salad bar is adequate. Sometimes they have mixed greens and... read more

The Food was the best I've had in a long time. Really tasted home made. Our waitress was excellent and took care of all our needs. We were there on a Friday night and it was packed. Salad bar was the best. The portions of the meals were so large we had to get take home boxes. Wish we lived... More

You are always guaranteed an excellent meal with quality service. They've recently downsized the menu, but still varied enough to make everyone happy. If it's dinner on the weekend, be sure to make a reservation...or take your chances for a not so short wait in line. We made that mistake once.

we were hoping for more from this little Italian restaurant. A group of 7 friends arrived early (3:30) one Thursday for the Early bird special as advertised. Only one staff member was on duty at that time. Tables weren't cleared and so service was slow. The specials are a pretty good deal but the food quality is average with lots... More

This had been our favorite local Italian restaurant for the past 3 years. Their minestrone soup had been the one to measure all others against - no more. We suspect, but do not know that there has been a change in management or ownership. The salad bar appears to be the same and good. The restaurant had usually been packed,... More

The food seems to be the same as the original location. This place is located in a store front so it is not huge but it is nice and comfortable. The Pizza is very slow, the rest of the food is pretty quick and they serve wine and beer now. Pretty busy place so call ahead or come early. Great... More

Stopped for a late lunch the other day ..... had Joe's Special and like other reviewers said, it is really good, especially with an Italian sausage or meat balls. Oh, the the bread sticks are the best ever ! Fast friendly service, attentive yet not intrusive, clean and tidy dining area with pleasant decor. Definitely on our list of 'must... More

Mama Louisa's is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Tucson. It's not the fanciest, but the service is good and the food is pretty tasty. We like to order Joe's Special with a visit to the soup and salad bar. Joe's Special is basically pasta with their homemade marinara sauce, red pepper flakes, and mozzarella cheese. You can order... It's been a number of years since I last dined here but I was curious to see what changes had been made with a new team at the helm - I was thrilled to see some of my favorite dishes (like Joe's Special) still on the menu and was very pleased with the new items, like the Italian Nachos. I... More

Once upon a time, this was my favorite Italian restaurant. I really liked the decor, fresh salad, steaming pots of soup, the pasta bar. It was all great. For various reasons, I hadn't returned for quite awhile. Sadly, I won't return again until I learn that there have been improvements. I was there at lunch time on Saturday. The pots... More
