I have been coming to Mama Louisa's since the day I arrived in Tucson, over 20 years ago. The cocktails have always been well made, and generous, which is a plus.... ... but it is the food that has kept me a loyal diner at this place. No matter the side of town I am on, I will go to... More

I've driven past Mama Louisa's many times but was never drawn to it. Maybe it's the location, I don't know. Finally decided to give it a try after searching for Italian Restaurants in Tucson. I think the "Lunch Special" sign hanging from the eaves on the front makes it look cheap. But on closer inspection both inside and out it's... More

I have been going to Mama Louisa's for over 50 years, enjoying the great food created by each generation of this family. Last night we celebrated my daughter's birthday. From the menu favorites and cocktails for the grandparents and childhood favorite for the birthday girl and her husband, and the world's best pizza, along with special children's mac n' cheese... When you walk in there is a strange smell, it most likely is from the old carpet. We were seated quickly and the servers were wonderful. The food was ok, portions were good. I had the lasagna , which tasted ok. I most likely wouldn't return though, the place is in need of a remodel so the atmosphere isn't the... More

We went there for dinner. We were greeted and seated fairly quickly. After that it was downhill for the rest of the evening. Two of our party ordered the salad bar and proceeded to get their salads. It took at least a half hour before they cleared the dirty salad plates off the table. Then it was another half an... More

Even though the place appears a bit dated and somewhat obscure you'll have a party in your mouth when you bite into the food!! Oh my, what a surprise we got. We were expecting ok food, just went there because it was close to where we were staying on base. Thought we'd grab a quick bite and move on. This... More

Horrible. We came in for a quick lunch awhile back and it was such an awful experience that we left after drinks and part of an appetizer and went somewhere else. The server was so rude, it was mind blowing. My wife tried to order what she wanted only to be argued with and told that she didn't want that... More

I beg to differ from my experience and the food that I ended up with. It was terrible. In addition I am sure many people noticed the difference. The man in front of me commented on the sauce being different. I used to go there and I knew the elderly lady that was always there but she is no longer... More

Probably the best ravioli in Tucson. Joe's Special is also delicious. Hard to make a decision when dining here. The salad bar is absolutely a must. Rumor has it they are opening a second location.

We were there with a large group and they were able to take care of us and serve it in timely manner. Good food, nice environment and price is reasonable. Kids had a good time!
