Great Handcrafted Food!

I discovered the Taqueria Pico De Gallo which featured some amazing fat house-made corn tortillas. The fact that Andrew Zimmerman from the Food Network ate here did not entice me to go. I discovered the Taqueria Pico De Gallo which featured some amazing fat house-made corn tortillas. The fact that Andrew Zimmerman from the Food Network ate here did not entice me to go. The fact that there were no pictures of him eating there and the menu was only available on a wall, in Spanish and almost impossible for me to... More

As a connoisseur of fine dives I eagerly went to this establishment and ordered a range of tacos. Mexican food is my comfort food but things got off to a bit of a rocky start with my questioning..... Me - so is your birria goat? ( birria is a traditionall stewed goat dish from the Guadalajara region) Them - no... More

Sharing a variety of their tacos: Pollo, Barbacoa, Fish, and finally the lengua (Beef tongue) all wrapped in homemade corn tortillas. Fantastic. Our favorites were the pollo and lengua (I was a little nervous, but glad I gave it a go!). The service can be slow; we came in right after a party of 8. So timing is everything, but... More

Love the shrimp tacos, caldo Camaroon and corn tortillas. Carne asada tacos a disappointment. Everything fresh and prepared as you order. Tough area, shouldn't at night. Spanish speaking helpful.

My partner and I went out for a casual Valentine's Day dinner. It was special because we were enjoying a meal out together. There's plenty of parking. It was a little awkward to walk past a panhandler on the way in, but he wasn't hurting anyone. The quality of the food and the liveliness of the establishment belied its humble... More

I can't say enough good things about the fish tacos at this place. Their secret is the made from scratch thick warm and served hot from the grill corn tortillas. Fish tacos just don't get any better.

The carnitas tacos and the bean burrito are excellent. Nice tortillas, good filling, nice pickled carrots and red onions on the side. Excellent counter service, seating area so so.

Don't come here if you want a wide selection. This is working-man's food, for working men. It's inexpensive, but oh so good. There are four selections to choose from. It's a hole-in-the-wall place, but as soon as you walk inside you are embraced by the smell of authentic mexican cooking. Tables and chairs are arranged through a series of small... More

What they lack in variety, they more than make up in quality. Everything was fresh, flavorful and made with care. Don't let the paper plates fool you, the food is a masterpiece.

Ate here twice on a recent trip to tucson. Everyone in the party loved the food. Had a torts for the first time and was blown away by how good it was. It is basically a mexican style sandwich, with a yummy toasted roll that is slightly sweet and overflowing with delicious chicken. Carne asada tacos were also pretty good... More
