Very Good Dog

Saw this place on the travel channel's "Man vs Food". It was actually very good, I'm from the east coast so there aren't many places that have these types of options. I had a regular bacon wrapped dog with the beans. It was delicious!!

Ate here tonight for dinner. Great visit! I have eaten here before and have never been let down! Whether you get a burrito or the Sonoran dogs, you will leave here impressed! The only advice I can offer is not to take the bottles of soda home, they are sent back to Mexico for refilling and the staff will stop... More

Food is low quality, no seasoning, and full of pinto beans. If I want beans in my carmello, I'll come here (I don't). Basically any street vendor in Tucson can beat this place on both price and quality.

After reading reviews on here and other websites we thought we'd give it a try while visiting Tucson this weekend. We live up in Phoenix, so we are no stranger to Mexican food. I was really expecting great food and was very disappointed. When you walk in you order and then sit down to wait for your food. The guy... More

Love this place, nothing fancy about it just great Mexican food, tried the burrito and the Sonora hotdog, had here lunch and didn't have to wait to much for the food and prices are ok

I thought this was great! I liked the sense that it's very much a local's spot and it hasn't been gentrified or gussied up for tourists. Easy to find, parked right in front and liked the casual eating area (basically, metal picnic tables). Of course, I had the Sonoran hot dog which I really liked (wrapping bacon around a hot... More

If this isn't one of the best hot dogs I have ever had, it is in my top three. The bun is awesome. The condiments superb. The restaurant cool. Have two dogs, because one is not enough, because they are so good, you will kick yourself later for not getting two. And an orange Mexican soda is a must.

I had been told by a few locals about the Sonoran hot dog and had to try it. The location of this restaurant is in a somewhat sketchy area of town, but the hot dog was every bit as good as I'd heard about. The fresh guacamole was also delicious. Had it not been for the nasty restroom, I would... More

Don't be dissuaded by the exterior of the restaurant or the industrial neighborhood. Everything at El Guero is perfect. The ambiance, the carne asada, the sonoran dogs, the Mexican sodas - and of course, the amazing buns. A true roadfood experience.

Visiting from out of town, asked my co-workers to take me to a local favorite and ended up here... turned out to be an awesome meal, one of the best "local gems" I've found! I was warned ahead of time not to let the dodgy neighborhood and exterior scare me away... and frankly, it was not as bad as the... More
