Outstanding

Don't be dissuaded by the exterior of the restaurant or the industrial neighborhood. Everything at El Guero is perfect. The ambiance, the carne asada, the sonoran dogs, the Mexican sodas - and of course, the amazing buns. A true roadfood experience.

Visiting from out of town, asked my co-workers to take me to a local favorite and ended up here... turned out to be an awesome meal, one of the best "local gems" I've found! I was warned ahead of time not to let the dodgy neighborhood and exterior scare me away... and frankly, it was not as bad as the... More

Sonoran hot dogs make for an interesting local delicacy. Place is full of locals, a good sign. The hot dogs, come in a sweet bun unusual, with beans and other fixings. Fruit smoothies looked good but we did not try them I would not wish to eat here daily but a good spot for a quick cheap meal with a... More

We went here especially to have Sonora style hot dogs. We were very pleasantly surprised as to how nice they were.

Run, don't walk! Go there! Now! I can't believe I'm saying this about a hot dog, but I still dream about it!

While on a business trip to Tucson from Phoenix, one of my coworkers suggested this small restaurant in South Tucson. I had never had a Sonoran Hot Dog, but was game. Thank goodness I was - what a yummy treat! A char-broiled hot dog within a bolillo (a wonderful sweet Mexican roll), add a little bit of beans, some mustard... More

Heard about the Sonoran Hotdog and just had to try it. It was delicious! We also had the guacamole which was excellent. I would eat here again.

First off the food was not bad, but not what I expected. I was on a quest to find the perfect Sonaran dog. I had seen and heard about these dogs and had been wanting to try one for a while now. The reviews on Tripadvisor for this place were excellent. I love hot dogs and I also love bolillos,... More

We found this place on the Road Food website. We were the only tourists in the place. You order at the counter and they bring out your food. Husband had a Sonoran dog that he loved. I had a carne asada taco that was wonderful - different form other places with good flavor. There were an assortment of condiments, including... More

If you have never tried one you have to have a Sonoran hotdog! get it just the way it comes and add a little cheese. Be careful; of the roasted pepper served alongside if you don't like spicy because they will light you up! Wednesdays special is two hotdogs and a drink for $6.99 and it is worth every penny....
