Not a fancy place, grew up from a hot dog stand. Step right up and order some of the most deliciously simple Sonoran treats. Huge relish table where you can dress up your burritos, tacos etc with some of the very best roasted chilis, salsas and veggies. Top it off with a cold sweet Mexican pop and you will be... More

While El Guero Canelo (which means cinnamon blonde ) is famous for their dogs, their menu of other Mexican dishes is memorable. For those unfamiliar with the Sonora Dogs they are a hot dog wrapped in bacon with many toppings. I understand that the bun is made in a bakery in Mexico and is delicious, a little sweet and a... Like a lot of people I gained interest in eating a Sonoran Dog by watching Man Vs Food. I finally got the chance last weekend while in Tucson. First of all the restaurant is not located in the best area of Tucson, kinda sketchy! That didn't bother me too much. Most of Tucson is sketchy and is hard to tell... More

Love the Sonoran hot dog. It is not like any hot dog you get away from Tucson. Other Mexican dishes are terrific and they provide a wonderful condiments bar for all the fixings and grilled peppers and green onions.

I was staying in a hotel near the airport and found this to be the closest Mexican food joint with decent reviews. I'm really glad that I stumbled on this place. I had the asada tacos and they were excellent (and really inexpensive). I'm told that I should have ordered a Sonoran hot dog.

I'd read many rave reviews of the Sonoran hot dog, so I had to see how it compared to my all-time favorite chili cheese dog (which I've tried around the world). Short answer: pretty well. At first bite I was a little disappointed: with plenty of bun and condiments, the bacon-wrapped hot dog's flavor didn't stand out. Adjusting my expectations... More

Went here with family. It definitely has a casual family atmosphere. Order and then sit at tables and get food when they call your number. Not a lot of choices, but very good meat and chicken tacos. Not fancy. We would return.

My boyfriend, son and I came here due to a local referring it! So glad we made time to come! We got the infamous Sonoran hot dogs and a carne asada taco and can I just say they were the most delicious things I have ever eaten!! Definitely recommend! It gets very very busy during lunch but well worth it!

Double hot dog with all the fixings. Incredible! Great condiment bar. Free grilled onions and peppers. Don't forget to top your dog with cheese!

And I thought the best hot dogs were in Chicago.. but this special bun puts all other hot dogs in second place. You gotta give this a try!
