Good Mexican standards freshly prepared for a fair price. One of the better burritos in town and a fine chile relleno. Fresh tortillas.

The shredded beef tacos are the best I've ever had....in the U.S. or Mexico. This is a place you go to for the food - not the atmosphere. The restaurant itself is tiny with limited seating but the food more than makes up for it.

Although I do love most of the food there for some reason the bean burritos seem to fall apart in my hands, today the tortilla smelt of some other food. It seemed as if the person who made it just handled some other food item and didn't take the time to wash their hands because my burrito reaked of it... More

This place is where the local goes to pickup tortillas to take to friends and relatives when they take a trip. When you have friends coming in from Tucson, the expectations is that they will be bring you a stack of tortillas from St Mary's. Put some butter on them, pop them in the oven for a few minutes, and... More

I decided to visit St Mary's Mexican Restaurant because I heard that it was worth trying, some reviews said it was among the best Mexican food in Tucson. Being from the borderlands(much closer than Tucson), I decided to take a trip back home and try this place out. The interior is a bit shanty, but nothing unhygienic- in fact, it... More

Hands down this was the worst mexican food I have eaten since my move to tucson 2013.. The chilie rellenos were served like slop on a styrofoam plate..The resturant had no ambiance and the employees lacked enthusiam while taking orders.. It was somewhat of a depressing dining experience...won't be back....

We decided to find a place midway between the Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum and the eastern Saguaro National Monument and St. Mary's was perfect. This plain little coral-orange building is easy to miss--we actually drove past it and had to turn around. Inside are formica tables and a line of people waiting to order and eat. This isn't really fast food;... More

Trust me, I lived across the street from here in my college days, still eat the often, and buy all my tortillas exclusively from here. Looks crappy, serves food on styrofoam plates, plastic cutlery, but amazing food, ALWAYS jumping at lunchtime. Prepare to wait as one cook and one person manning the counter means service one at a time, but... More

St. Mary's has been the best buy Mexican Food Restaurant in Tucson for as far back as I can remember. On my first visit, they were located in a take out only location in the front room of a house a few doors down from the current eat-in place. Over the years, every item we've tried has been in the...
