My daughter and I had an exceptional scallop salad at the Dakota this week. We were seated at a window in a charming room. The service was fine, the table beautiful and the service prompt but we did not feel at all hurried. The dressing was generous and served on the side and the scallops were scrumptious.

The atmosphere of this restaurant was quite nice. The menu seemed a bit odd. Prices were high. Server was pleasant. We had a table for 4. Two of us had dirty forks which should of been obvious to the set up person. Probably not memorable enough to return.

While visiting Trail Dust Town, we decided to eat at the Dakota Cafe. The menu looked good, and the service was good. Unfortunately, they don't know how to handle their food properly. My husband got the "trots" within an hour of leaving there after having their Steak & Salad, and my stomach felt funny for hours after having their chili... More

This restaurant is located in Trail Dust Town on the East side of Tucson. My wife and I had dinner there this week and were seated on the patio. My wife had the daily special which was a stuffed red snapper while I went for the scallops with a spinach, mushroom rissotto. Both dishes were delicious and the outside patio... More

We normally don't dine out on Valentine's day because of the crowds but we made an exception this time. We liked the atmosphere of the outside dining area but the service was poor and the food was cold. There were four of us dining together. My husband ordered surf and turf and got lukewarm rubbery lobster, stringy steak, very good... More

Great value and nice location. I believe it's right on the grounds of some museum (tourist attraction). Went with my daughter and mother. I had the shrimp enchilada. Nice baby shrimp is a tasty cream sauce. My mother had the hangar steak for the first time ever and fell in love with it. Tender and juicy. My daughter had the... More

We were here last year; quite happy with it. Returned this year; seems to have changed a bit. Appears that the Kobe burger ( a melt-in-your-mouth delight) has been dropped from the menu.. My wife had a chicken wrap. Canned chicken, and not much of it, Come on folks. The kids on Master Chef Junior could have done a better... More

At first you'd think this was just for tourists as it's located in Trail Dust Town - a recreation of an old west town, however, it appeared that there were many locals there. The outdoor setting is cute and lunch was very good. I had the BLT with avocado and sweet potato fries. My husband had a hamburger and onion... More

Located in a recreation of an old West Town that has much to offer in and of itself, the Dakota Cafe also had much to offer for our brunch...from our yummy appetizer of stuffed mushroom caps, to a delicious Mexican soup, to great entrees, and for my birthday I chose a favorite-creme brulee with a wedge of dark chocolate and... This might be the only four star review where the entrees were bland and the service ho-hum. I'm just not an entree fan of the Dakota, but more appreciative of the accoutrements. I wanted to like my entrees (trip one: the vegetarian curry, jasmine rice, trip two: scallops/mushroom risotto, spinach), but there was so little taste that if I had... More
