Great Cuban sandwich

As consolation for blowing a tire while driving 75 miles an hour toward Tombstone, my husband and I decided on a late lunch at Cup Cafe. He had spotted the Cuban sandwich on a previous visit, and had to try one. Glad we did. The sandwich was quite large (we shared it) and came with crispy fries... read more

In the heart of downtown Tucson, not cheap, but great atmosphere and great coffee. Lovely outside area to watch the world go by.

Having walked the downtown circuit, taking advantage of the trolley, we were looking for an early dinner, so happened in at the cafe back at the Congress Hotel which we had visited on our tour. What a find!

Went here to check out Tucson on a Sunday. Saw the menu with a Cubans sandwich and had to try it after seeing the movie " the Chef". Wonderful flavor and worth making a movie about. Wife had salad nicolaise with tuna cooked at the perfect texture of moistness and flavor. Only downside was cup of soup, mushroom chicken with... More

Live music right when we walked up and exceptional service. Tequila shrimp pasta and the NY strip special were phenomenal and perfectly cooked. Our server, Joseph, was professional and speedy and made the night worth while as the kitchen ran out of a few items. Will be back again!

We had happy hour drinks in Tiger's Saloon. What a treat. Tiger has worked there for more than 50 years and he is local color. He is the consummate gentleman and a damn good bartender. May he work as long as he wants to. He is good for the Congress and they are good to him. We went outside on... More

The food is pretty good, but they always seem to run out of an item. The menu doesn't change that often and they don't have that unique of a selection.

I was pleasantly surprised as to how much I enjoyed the Cup Cafe. We sat outside on a gorgeous day last week (April) and felt like we were anywhere but Tucson. It was rather like being in Manhatten: The trees and the bistro tables and most of all, the menu. People of all ages were dining there, which is a... More

We really enjoyed our lunch here and everything was delicious. Our server was very attentive and the café is not expensive. The Congress Hotel is a fun place, quite old fashioned and informal. It is definitely worth a look.
