Since 1919, the place to go in downtown Tucson

Tucson's Hotel Congress is part of the city's history -- but there's nothing old-fashioned about the Cup Cafe. Good food and excellent service in downtown's premier landmark make it a memorable experience, whether you go for breakfast, lunch, dinner or a between-meal snack. Breakfast is served until late afternoon and in fact overlaps with most of the lunch menu hours,... More

My husband and I went for dinner, and unfortunately we had lunch late, 3 pm, so we were not very hungry. We just had a bowl of their soup and bread, which was very tasty. The service was outstanding, and I would highly recommend. The next time we are in Tucson, we certainly will return. Their desserts look scrumptious!!

Our group of four stopped in for a breakfast on a Saturday morning. Among us we had oatmeal with fruit, pancakes with fruit, and omelets, plus coffee. All enjoyed their meals, which were served promptly and hot. This was a one-off visit, but I would recommend the breakfast, and would stop there again on a future trip.

The coconut cream pie was the best I've ever had. We stopped in between lunch and dinner and felt like we caught the staff off guard. Still - definitely worth popping in to see the place and read a little about the history.

We recently went here for dinner. We arrived early for our reservation, but were able to be seated. It took quite a while to be greeted by our server and there seemed to be some confusion as to which person was our server, so it was a bit of a rocky start. We waited maybe 10 minutes before anyone came... More

We had both breakfast and lunch at the Cup Café. Breakfast has such mainstays as eggs & toast, (huge) pancakes, potatoes, and omelets. The coffee offerings go beyond the standard diner fare, to include such coffeehouse specialties as lattes and mochas. The lunch menu has both standards (tuna melt, burgers, etc.), and some quirky specialties (e.g., the "queer steer," a... More

Came at a busy time. There were some communication problems and we nearly left. They said they had a mixologist who could make any drink we wanted. They couldn't make the drink we wanted as they didn't have the ingredients and the margarita they substituted the drink with was just average - as good as one from mix. Though there... More

In my almost ten years in Tucson, I have never been to Hotel Congress let alone Cup Cafe but the reviews for breakfast/brunch were too good to pass up trying it when I was meeting a girlfriend for brunch. I did get lost, and drove in circles trying to find this place - Tucson downtown (for me anyway) is not... More

Cup Cafe is a small restaurant with good food. It is a small menu but holds something for everyone. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer (some of the best we have ever had), and our main dishes were Stuffed Pepper (awesome) and the Special which was a steak with blue cheese (very tasty). Our waiter, Robert, was very... More
