A last-minute decision to eat a late breakfast here turned out to be a great move. We sat on the patio, which makes for fun people (and dog) watching. Service was prompt and friendly and our waiter helped us choose from the menu. Both meals were good, but the corned beef hash and poached eggs dish was truly outstanding. The... More

Stopped here with friends after a funeral. Needed something to pick me up, and this place did exactly that. Extensive breakfast menu. Hard to decide what to order. Interestingly, all four of us ordered the same thing: the Gunpowder. Potatoes, covered with turkey chorizo, topped with two eggs of your choice, and cheese and toast. Didn't need lunch, and may... Have eaten here twice and enjoyed two different experiences. Had breakfast outside on the patio on a beautiful spring morning. Interesting, and filling, choices with a southwestern edge. Well prepared and competently served by a wait staff that had a fair distance to tote all this food (there were seven of us). Kept the coffee refilled, and were quick to... More

This coffee shop inside of the Hotel Congress is wonderful. Always has been...even when this part of town was 'up and coming'. the art, the penny floor' and the food....oh wait...and the coffee...and the PIE! It's always great to go there again.

Cast iron baked eggs. Creamy cheesy wonderful. We ate breakfast here twice while staying at the hotel. The pancakes with walnuts mixed in were also good, but didn't beat those eggs. Also had dinner here - steak for him, jambalaya for me. Jambalaya was good, and I couldn't finish it all.

I have been here a few times and every time I enjoy the outdoor seating and very casual vibe. The food is always fresh and a little different than typical breakfast spots. I had the Braveheart which consisted of house smoked brisket and pouched eggs with fresh grilled tomatoes and steamed spinach over sourdough toast. The coffee here is good... More

We diner outside on the patio which was very pleasant. The staff was professional and the service was excellent. The cup is now on our must do list whenever... More

After hearing so much about the Cup Cafe Sunday breakfast, we ventured downtown to try it for ourselves. We opted for patio seating, which had shady umbrellas for a hot summer morning, waiting about 10 minutes to be seated. We both enjoyed the coffee, and I ordered the baked eggs, which were cooked perfectly in a small cast iron skillet... More
