Somehow, in 22 years in Tucson, I never made it to Jonathan's...until last week. The small dining areas, with just a few tables in each, offer a quiet atmosphere where you can hear the other members of your party. And the food was cooked to perfection. The filets were cooked to order PERFECTLY. I chose to have mine prepared with... More

This place is a really good idea for Happy Hour- the menu items are regularly are quite pricey , but you can get a good sampling of their food during Happy Hour. We tried the Escargot ($5) which come in a dish of garlic butter and wine, topped with crusty bread. I thought it was overall a nice dish, but... More

Friends were eager to introduce us to Jonathan's. Looks like a jail which is perhaps why so many speak about the venue with such conviction. Artichokes, blackened calamari were fine. Liver and onions were savored. Bowl was dry at the end of the Green Chili Beef. Petite Prime rib was tender and mildly flavored. The ostrich (at $40) was O.K.... More

Thanks, John for your thoughtful comments. We're happy that your party enjoyed much of the fare. After talking with your server and looking up the receipts, we found that a substitution of salad was made as requested, per the discretion of the server. As for the blackened chicken, we noted your comment and will take a look at the recipe-thanks.... More

I have been to "The Cork" many times over the years and thought I should let newbies to Tucson know about this hidden treasure. Jonathan Landeen, chef and owner, is a master at providing options for everyone's tastes and preferences. My favorite entree is their poached salmon, truly the best in town. Try it, you can thank me later! Their... More

A couple of weeks ago some friends decided to host a birthday dinner for me. We made reservations at Jonathan's, and requested beef wellington. Jonathan himself called me to discuss the menu for the day. Our dinner was the best dinner I have ever had at a restaurant in my 67 years on the planet. The meat was cooked perfectly... More

This was my first time here. I got grilled romaine with chicken. It was delicious but it took 40 minutes to get to the table. Others got appetizers, but I still think 40 minutes is a long time to wait. Everyone enjoyed their meals. Just don't go there when you're really hungry!

We're happy to hear that you enjoyed your food! You're correct- forty minutes is not an acceptable wait time for your order. I apologize and will follow up with the server. Thanks for coming in and we hope to see you again soon. More

Fabulous food, especially the Mac and Cheese:-) Great Steaks! The best Macadamia encrusted Halibut I have ever had. Service is impeccable! Can't say enough good things about this restaurant.

What a disappointment - a friend and I took another friend here for a going away dinner. Even on a Thursday night it was so noisy we could barely converse, so had to move table. There is no way to lessen noise in here, due to all hard surfaces. Very dark, but not attractively so. We all had petite filet;... More

I are sorry to hear that your dining experience was less than satisfactory. We usually are able to accommodate diners with quiet, intimate rooms, however, on Thursdays in June we have a Patio Buffet which tends to increase the noise level. We appreciate hearing from our guests and really take comments to heart. We apologize for not providing your party... More

I loved going here. The ambiance, service, and food was great! The steak was cooked perfectly. It was really quaint and the decor made me feel like I was in a movie. I would definitely go there again.

We have been invited to Jonathan's Cork twice in the last two weeks and we just don't get it. Yes, they appear to be very busy but the service and food is OK. Considering their prices, $ 150 for 2 one time and $ 89 for two last night, one would think the food and service was outstanding. Maybe at... More
