Mediterranean at its finest ...

Great service, excellent selections prepared quickly. Flavorful combinations, good sized portions at reasonable prices in a clean and tidy dining area. I've had a lot of this type of cuisine throughout the world and its not the best (no reason it has to be if you are into this type of food), but this is some of the best Middle Eastern food in Tucson. The staff is really friendly and helpful. Small location. They serve alcohol if you are concerned that... More

The high ratings reflect the lack of great Middle Eastern food in Tucson. In any other city, Zayna would be considered average. Food was a bit over-seasoned (esp salt), and the chicken did taste like rotisserie chicken. Hummus was good. Service was a bit slow, but not intrusive. I won't go back, but if you're in the mood for this... More

I enjoyed lunch here and will return. I shared the sampler platter with husband and found the meat/chicken selections seasoned well. The green beans were very good and the hummus was perfect as well. The rice though was dry and this is why I rated 4 and not 5. The service was perfecto though...5 stars here!

We always look for Greek food when traveling, and this very small restaurant serves great Greek/Middle Eastern food. For three of us we chose the veggie sampler which included the usual appetizers like hummus, falafel, grape leaves, etc, and the grilled meat sampler which included beef sticks and two kinds of chicken. There was plenty to share, and we shared... More

simple and delicious, hummus, stuffed grape leaves, 5 falafel and pita a couple of slices of tomato and dill pickles. A real nice change for a light lunch, simple decor a reasonable lunch crowd, beer and wine available and quality wait staff.

We had been travelling in Scottsdale and Tucson and wanted something a bit different from the franchised restaurant food that we had been having so far. Some web research revealed a Mediterranean restaurant called Zanya. It was more Middle Eastern/Lebanese but highly ranked and just a 10 minute walk from our Airbnb. Zanya was just what we were looking for.... More

The menu is somewhat limited, but the food is quite good. For lunch, wife had the lamb combination plate and I had the Gyro. Side salads completed the meal. The yogurt sauce is particularly noteworthy.

Every meal we have had has been delicious. Everyone we take there thanks us for introducing them to this place. Whether you want a cheap pita sandwich with either falafel, chicken or lamb or a full meal, you can't go wrong. Our favorite is the chicken shish tawouk, which is so tender and flavorful, that we keep going back. The... More

Tried the vegetarian plate: falafel, hummos, baba ganoush, tabouleh. My wife and I agreed this was the second best falafel we've ever had: crispy, light, flavorful (the best was on the Edgeware Road in London). The hummos and baba ganoush were precisely the right consistency- so often the downfall of Middle Eastern spreads - and, again, very flavorful. The tabouleh... More
