Oh boy, am I glad my husband and I dropped into Zayne Mediterranean Cafe yesterday. This small cafe is pleasant, easy to get to, has free parking and is open on Mondays. (Note: Several restaurants are closed on Mondays in Tucson, AZ.) The service was excellent. The food was exceptional and I cannot wait to return to try something new.... More

I was surprised, after reading rave reviews about this place, that it was only average. My companion liked his combo grill plate but my plate of tabbouleh, hummus and falafel was just ok. A bit too lemony. Nothing that knocked my socks off, and I wouldn't necessarily hurry back. The staff was friendly but not overly so. An average dining... More

I got the Combination plate with lamb kicks and it was delicious. The felafel is the best I have had and the Sesame seeds add a wonderful flavor. The lamb kicks was juicy, flavorful and delicately enhanced by the tatziki yogurt sauce. The grape leaves were tasty, and the Zayna french fries were amazing. The service was friendly and prompt.... We were introduced to Zayna by some friends and had lunch there. I am vegetarian and had the Mujadara plate which is a lentil stew on rice with yogurt on the side, as well as a green salad. Everything was very fresh and that was quite possibly the best lentil dish I have had--ever. Service was great! Obviously a popular... More

I had a craving for falafel and after reading all the reviews I decided to come here. The place was packed, which is a good sign. The dining room is a bit small, but cozy. The servers are great, really polite and helpful. I had the Combination Plate, which had lamb kifta, falafel, dolma(stuffed grape leaves), hummus, pita and a salad.... More

I love Mediterranean food and used to frequent nearby Ali Baba but now that I found Zayna I'll never go back. The dining room is clean, bright, and inviting. The service is fast and friendly. And the food. The food is delicious, affordable, and healthy. I've loved everything I've tried so far. Five stars.

We came by here yesterday for an early dinner. Empty when we started at 4:30 but was 1/3 full by the time we left. I always wait for the street fair for my Gyro. So this was a test. Passed with flying colors. The best. With the Turkish pale lager and veges and curry rice what a nice meal. Very... More

Really enjoyed our meal at Zayna Mediterranean. The restaurant is a bit small but very cozy. Staff was incredibly friendly and helpful. Service was quick. The falafel was incredible, and I was told that the other items were great as well. I definitely recommend!!

This is a casual dining place that offers good service and standard Mediterranean fare at a reasonable price. We have dined here occasionally since the restaurant opened. I have never found anything exceptional about Zayna's cuisine but it is perfectly acceptable. I especially like the hummus but find that the pita bread is sometimes stale. On a recent visit, my...
