I was attending a conference down the street and a group of us went to El Minuto for lunch. We were seated quickly and drinks arrived soon after. The chips and salsa were just average. The food was served quickly and was nice and hot. My chicken burrito was flavorful and the chicken was nice and tender. Everyone in our... More

Tried this restaurant on the recommendation of the volunteer at the museum next door. We enjoyed the meal but it was more costly and not as good as back in Oregon. Service was a bit slow but they were very busy on Saturday afternoon. Drinks were more reasonable than most places we've visited while in the area. Menu says the... More

We enjoyed our meal, and the service was prompt and friendly. There wasn't anything we really disliked, but the food didn't appear to be exceptional either. We would go back, I just wouldn't rate it as highly as some others in Tucson.

This place is a Tucson standard dating back many years and still owned and managed by the same family. Prices are getting to be on the high side. Service is full, traditional, friendly, and snappy. You are greeted by a host or hostess and seated to be greeted by a person who serves the salsa and chips followed by the... More

Whenever we are in Tucson we always go to El Minuto. We have been going for 15 years now and the food is always excellent. The wait staff is always efficient, although not the most friendly.

I've been visiting Tucson for over 25 years (11 of which I lived there full-time) and El Minuto has been part of my life in Tucson for the entire time. The food is good, straightforward Sonoran fare, served quickly by friendly waiters who ensure that your drink is constantly topped up and your chip bowl replenished where needed. Very child-friendly,... More

A local in the restaurant told us that this restaurant was a family run business and that she had been coming to eat for 30 years! The cheese crisp with carne seca was delicious and enough for two or three people to eat. I would go back and eat there tomorrow if I didn't live in Maryland!

This was recommended by our concierge at the hotel when I asked for a good place to get authentic Mexican food on a budget. Very good.

I couldn't wait to get back to El Minuto for their Chimichunga but this time, it wasn't as wonderful as last May (2013). I ate out in the patio, with birds on all the chairs waiting for droppings. The patio is well-screened but very close to sidewalk and cars, so not really an "atmosphere," but it is what it is.... More
