Always great service and consistent food

I regularly go here for lunch and am never disappointed. They offer 6 lunch specials that are a bargain and all delicious. When I am extra hungry the cheese enchiladas are great, served with fresh rice and creamy refried beans. A lighter special choice is the topopo salad which is served with... read more

Thursday night, it was kind of quiet. Great staff, wonderful food, Flautas were great, their cheese crisps are amazing! Prices are on the high side for Mexican food.

El Minuto Cafe is an historic, family-owned restaurant across from the downtown Tucson Convention Center, within walking distance. The food is authentic Mexican and most of the wait staff is Mexican, dressed that way, and fluent in English and Mexican. It is usually crowded at lunch time due to the great food and reasonable prices.I've lived in Tucson 27 years... More

One of the few restaurants left where you can find carne seca in the area. We got carne seca tacos which were very good as were the carne seca chimichangas. We also had some good, hot tortilla soup with fresh avocado and a pretty fair flan for dessert. For the price, excellent food and an enjoyable lunch.

Took mom to el minuto, it had been years since we've gone. Over priced lousy food, won't call it Mexican food. It'll be another 20 years before we go back again. IF WE GO BACK. Not recommended, especially for those outrageous prices. Tucson has too many good and GOOD Mexican restaurants to choose from, that are reasonably priced.

Visiting show at the convention center - wanted to walk instead of drive to restaurant for lunch. Was recommended to El Minuto - glad we were. Was pretty busy, but we were attended to quickly. Restaurant cute inside - liked how it was laid out. Decided to sit outside in the screened in patio. Salsa and chips were given and... More

It really is such a shame...El Minuto is such a cute building. We went here last night to "audition" it for company coming that wanted real Arizona Mexican food. We had been here once years before and remember thinking, eh. I wanted it to be better than it is. First off, I think their menu is way over priced. We... More

This restaurant is a great place for a sit down lunch or dinner. Our cheese crisp was brought to the table just as our complimentary chips and salsa ran out. Lunch was served shortly after. The carne seca and carne asada tacos were perfect. The red chilie is spicy, but delicious. The kids ordered bean and cheese burros, with plenty... More

Hadn't been here in awhile until recently when I went with family for Mother's Day. It's as I remembered it which is nice. It's not a large restaurant but there are 2 rooms. The margaritas were very good. The chips were nice-very salty though. I had a shredded beef chimichanga and it was very tasty. There was a lot of... More
