Good People and good food

As of today, there is NO money tacked to the walls. It took 25 volunteers around 3 hours to take over $10,600 off the walls and ceiling beams to donate to The Wounded Warrier's Fund. Our food was cooked on an open grill outside in front of the restaurant. The filet was $30 and tasted fine. I... read more

This restaurant was recommended by an elderly couple we met at Old Tucson Studios. Do not expect a modern-looking restaurant; however, the food is phenomenal. We had the half-rack of ribs: The meat fell off the bones, and the meat was not fatty whatsoever. The cooking is done outside on grills, so you truly get that barbecue taste. The beans... More

My wife and I have been going to Daisy Mae's for many years and have never had a bad meal, bad er vice, or a bad time. They have a great bar and a classic restaurant. You can't go wrong here at anytime.

The steak at Daisy Mae's is fantastic and hard to beat for the price. The staff was very friendly and they have a great selection of local beer. Did I mention the steak is fantastic? The sides are good as well. It is hard to beat a steak like this at the price they offer them. I will definitely return.

We come here after long days at the gemshow when we need to replenish our bodies with margaritas and meat! The place has an awesome atmosphere- a cross between a dive bar and a down home restaurant. There meats are all grilled on an open pit grll outiside and the flavor is phenomenal. They have a few differentkinds of steaks,... More

We heard from friends the food was good but when arrived 15 minutes before close they said they would seat us with no problems. The steaks were outstanding and the service was excellent. Really cool to see all the money on the walls from different country's. Would definetly come back, you won't go away hungry

Okay no decor or ambiance - Who cares! Dollar bills stapled everywhere. The owner framed his first dollar and tacked it to the wall. Ever since, patrons have been marking up bills, that are stapled everywhere and then eventually donated. While the restaurant is a solid 4 - the owner gets a 5 for being a good human. The grilled... When I visit my wife in Tucson, we try to experience local restaurants in the area. I'm not a fan of most corporate restaurants. It was a hike from our house in Northwest Tucson but my nephew volunteered to drive. The exterior is understated and the interior is very unique. If you need change for a twenty there are hundreds... My wife and I shared the house specialty a 17 oz ribeye streak cooked on an open fire with all of the fixing (these people know how to cook a baked patato) and it was excellent. Steak and BBQ are key so when the talble next to us ordered the fish of the day I almost told them not to... More

the ambience was western-style and lots of tables and dining areas. we all settled on steak or ribs and no one was disappointed. easy to drive to from the west part of Tucson. it will be the closest "go to" for us if beef is the food of choice.
