Had almost forgotten this former mainstay

Don't know Rosa's slipped out of my "go to" places, but I rediscovered it this week and so glad that I did. Rosa's was recommended to us by a friend in NJ and it didn't disappoint. The food was good and prices competitive. The tables were filled with local clients, not tourists and everyone was having a good time.

On a recent trip, I had a beef chimichanga (enchilada style) that was outstanding. Good atmosphere, busy.

Shredded beef has never been my favorite, but Rosa's are delicious. Loved the salsa, too. I must have chili relleno's and these were very good. I like fresh peppers better. Hubby had a beef Chimi that was choke full of tasty beef, friend had shrimp fajitas and was very pleased. Busy, busy place....lots of locals and that's a good sign.... More

It was a bit hard to find, but well worth it. The chips and salsa were great - we had to keep asking for more… and they brought it to us!! No waiting and the staff was very accommodating. I would go there again.

My friend who works at Trek bicycles recommended Rosa's so I went there for dinner. I ordered a chile rellano, tamale, and enchilada w avocado. Excellent!

My family was on vacation and got a tip from a local regarding this restaurant. The service was terrific, and the food fabulous. Large portions and so flavorful! Highly recommended.

Visiting family in the area and noted several good reviews about Rosa's Mexican Food so we stopped by. Quick and attentive service, very reasonable prices but "average" food which seemed to be a lot of processed rather than homemade. Will praise their salsa though.

Tucson people feel they know a lot about great Mexican food. Rosa's is a favorite if you are near mid-town or North. The margaritas stand out, the guacamole is super, and the servings are both tasty and large. Enjoy.

I have been a patron at Rosa's since 1994 and they are one of the very best Mexican restaurants in Tucson. They are consistent- you can bet on quality every time and they have the BEST salsa, in my opinion in all of Tucson- but it is hot. Rosa's is a down home family restaurant. There is " Mexican food"... More
