Loved it!

My family of 5 had lunch here while visiting relatives in Tucson. They have a great kids menu, and I finally got to try a Sonoran hotdog, which was fantastic! The service was top notch..very attentive. Highly recommend!

This was a great place to have conversations with staff while eating. The food is wonderful and the drinks are perfect. We love going to a restaurant and sitting at the bar and talking with the bartender about the town. This place has an unbelievably kind and outgoing staff. Great atmosphere and great service.

Great Carne Seca plates, best mexican rice in town and don't forget to order your Margarita. It's in old town Tucson so the building is a historic building with a beautiful fountain in the back and an unusual basement. You must eat at El Charro if you visit Tucson. It's a staple of the old good traditional sonoran food

El Charro is a very old structure, built from local volcanic rock. Inside it is always busy, but relaxed. The Cafe popular among discerning Tucson residents so you need to book ahead for a table. The Mexican food here is outstanding: brilliantly cooked. Staff are friendly and ready to advise customers.

There is no way a visit to Tucson should not include a trip and meal at El Charro's Cafe. The cafe is in the home of the founder and even the steps were built by her husband, who was a stone worker from Mexico but was French I understand. I have had occasion to meet many of the family members... More

And they were right! Some of the best Mexican food I have ever eaten! The owner has old school charm! I received tips on what house specialities to order, and they were all home runs! Will come back next time when I am in Tucson. Restaraunt is quaint and clean! Great service!

Saw online and tried it. Loved the chips and salas and margarita. Loved the carne asada soft tacos. amazing flavor. Want keen on carnitas soft tacos. Would have liked to have had the meat broiled or fried in pan prior to plating to get the nice texture. Service was ok. Gal at front door needed a dose of happiness but... More

We enjoyed eating at El Charro. The portion sizes were large and the service was friendly. There are plenty of areas all over the restaurant that have different looks and feel about them. We had a nice time and ate well that evening. The reputation stood up to our appetites.

During a recent group dinner, the table had to wait half an hour for service, the kitchen took another half hour to prepare the food, the Server got the food and diners mixed up and even missed one order completely. To top it all off, the Server did not deliver the tortillas until ten or so minutes after delivering the... More
