The food was very good and eating on the patio at the original El Charro was a unique experience all its own. If you are taking a trip to Tucson it would be worth your effort to stop in there for dinner and a drink.

Loved the cheese crisps & fajitas! Omar gave us great service. A friend had the prickly pear margarita and loved it. Would recommend it to anyone wanting great food and service!

Doesn't matter what you choose on the menu they are all good choices! Great location, great service with a smile. The salsa is very good and not too hot however, you can ask for mild as well and perhaps mix them.

Love it ! Have been to their northern location in Oro Valley which is fantastic as well ... but was great to eat here at The Original on Labor Day. Great character to the rooms of the house and the design, a lot to look at while you eat in this restaurant as there is at their other locations as... More

We have eaten here many times and it's always good. There is a huge menu and I can recommend the soft tacos and the tasting platter. Their beer (El Charro 1922 amber ale) is delicious and only $2 at happy hour. Service is good and food is fresh and good!

The red chile was good. The rice was average and the beans were blah. Also we were put in a corner on... More

This landmark downtown Tucson restaurant has been around for almost a century and for good reason. I have eaten here many times and never had a bad meal. It is in a quaint old home with a nice patio if you like to eat outside. The prices are really good, much less expensive than most full service restaurants. The last... More
