Somewhat limited buffet but delicious food

We arrived late for the lunch buffet (almost 2 pm) which is usually not a good idea with any buffet. Most of the dishes were still ample and hot (not spicy) except for the tandoori chicken which was sadly dry and tasteless. The rice pudding is good, not great, and the service and ambiance are... read more

We recently went to India Oven for dinner. The food is excellent. The choice on the menu are excellent. The menu is diverse enough that we could get dishes for everyone from those who like food not too spicy to those who love spicy food. If you are looking for good Indian food in Tucson, this is a great choice.

I've enjoyed sampling local cultures and cuisines in 42 different countries. Some I have really enjoyed, others I have not. The culture and cuisine of India is just not my cup of tea. The family, however, that operates the India Oven Cuisine of India in Tucson are wonderful people who will try very hard to provide you with a pleasant... More

This restaurant offers a very small buffet, about 60% vegetarian. Nothing fancy and not much variety, but seemed like healthy food. For what is offered, I'd say it's about 20% overpriced, but in a buffet scenario, this probably covers the owner's costs for patrons who come in and just stuff themselves. The big Chinese buffet restaurants charge about $12/serving, but... More

I have reviewed this place before, but this visit was different since we attended with ten folks. four had never eaten East Indian before. all were enthused about their experience, so much so that after congratulating the owner someone asked her to congratulate the cook. She brought him out to a round of applause from all. I have read carping... More

Great food! Large portions, would recommend to those who like heat. It's a must if a like this kind of food. Don't be fooled by the few patrons. There is a lot of traffic for take out.

I have submitted more than 40 restaurant reviews to Trip Advisor and I am usually generous in my assessment because I frequently find something I like about most places I visit. I will be brief. This is a grungy little dump with the worst Indian food I have ever tasted. College cafeterias and military mess halls from my past were... More

I have been to India Oven many times, but never thought to leave a review. The owner, Raksha, is always helpful, and chats with you if you want her to. I go frequently for the buffet, which is divine, filling, and less than ten bucks with tax. One of my Tucson mainstays for a filling lunch both physically and spiritually.... More
