Used to go there once a week when I worked down town. It was such a treat for me at the end of the work week. The food is fresh and flavorful. No longer work down town and miss going there. Last time I was there was in 2008. Geez too long to stay away. I recommend folks to try... More

Unique does not begin to describe the food and the atmosphere of Cafe Poca Cosa. The specially prepared meals are made daily with surprises each time you visit. Care and time are put into fine details of unusual spices and flavors. The best is the Chef special which will give you a taste of three different entrees, but it is... More

The only thing that I didn't like about this place was there was too much food. But all of it was tasty and really lovely atmosphere. Margaritas are top notch too.

We have been coming here since they were in their former rustic very Mexican building. This is very upscale New York glitzy looking by comparison. That said, you will not fine more adventersome Mexican eating anywhere. You will see the hands-on owner on every visit and most likely visit with her. You can make life simple for yourself and just... More

The idea of having no typical menu makes you feel that you're in for an amazing evening of fun and edible delights. But we found that the meals were just okay overall. The tamale's were terrific along with mole sauce. The meat was tough, both beef and chicken. Then they garnish the plates with a confusing arrangement which left you... More

Cafe Poca Cosa gives you an elegant dining with a Mexican flair. The presentation of the food is just lovely. Someone mentioned inedible garnishes…I know we all gobbled down those pineapple slices and thoroughly enjoyed them. Don't expect your typical enchilada, chile verde, taco experience. Expect to pay a premium for very fresh in-season food carefully thought out and prepared.... More

The food was average at best. Tiresome menu - hype from waitress explaining every dish in glowing terms from a chalkboard. Our meals -- the mole combo plate -- did not live up to her overwrought billing. Our plate was decorated by inedible garnishes, including a large piece of pineapple rind.

I make a point of coming here every time I'm in Tucson. The food is always wonderful, as are the margaritas. Enjoy the menu but order the Chef's Choice - you just can't go wrong with it!

My memory of this place is that it was amazing. Food is still interesting, and cocktails good, but the atmosphere doesn't seem as good, nor does the service. Still good, just not amazing.

Was really looking forward to this meal and the food did not disappoint. However, the young lady serving had a really rushed and bothered attitude. Perhaps they were limited staffed on a Tuesday night and she was overwhelmed, but not my problem. Not really a fine dining experience (nor did I expect it to be so) but this particular server...
