A top choice for Tuscon

Dishes were creatively prepared with subtlety and visual appeal. Prices were reasonable for an upscale restaurant. Decor is modern, and service was friendly and attentive. Reservations a must on weekends.

Menu is changed daily depending on available produce. Portions were a bit smaller than I expected given the prices but I didn't leave hungry. Food was good and service was friendly albeit a bit lacking in attentiveness (beverages didn't get refilled add quickly as I like and the check took a lot longer for them to process than most places)

What a fun place not your typical looking Mexican restaurant but the food sure is! Very metro looking. The menu is a blackboard w chalk. This changes 2X a day. We tried the combination of 3 different things off the menu. We both received different items in our trio. All was delicious. Chips and salsa start out the meal. Very... More

With the help of Trip advisor we chose this restaurant quite randomly. What a wonderful gem hidden down a nondescript street in downtown. The decor is fun, funky, eclectic and upscale. The bar menu was a delightful surprise of an expanded list of tequilas and fun margaritas. Our menu choices were presented to us on a large chalkboard held by... More

Beautifully prepared food. The salad is amazing filled with fresh Ingredients. The tamales are so delicious. We eat here annually while attending the gem show. If you are visiting Tucson, this restaurant is a must!

The food is delicious, very good service, but it is on the pricey side and their special margaritas are between $10 and $15. The Chef's special plate which is a choice of 3 items is definitely the way to go as you get to taste 3 separate dishes. It can be noisy when it gets crowded, and it does get... More

Pros: food tastes great, presentation is excellent, atmosphere is upscale modern, margaritas were fantastic Cons: it gets a little dark when they dim the lights, the salsa was very mild, limited choices, prices are on the high end $25-30 per plate, This place came at high recommendations. If you are looking for urban upscale Mexican then this is a great... More

Family in town from Michigan and decided to try Cafe Poco Cosa ... Unanimous decision: service, drinks, and diner were very excellent in every respect! We had a 6-top table outside; the atmosphere & temp were great! The server was prompt and friendly and we were drinking our first very excellent margies almost instantly! We went w/ the trios and... I didn't like the chips or tortillas, both tasted like they were from a bag. I didn't like the limited menu choices, along with verbal menu presentation. I felt rushed to make a hasty decision from the limited options while the server looked at me. Food was presented colorfully on the plate and came out fast from kitchen, which was... More
