Not up to its rating last night.

We chose Michelangelo because of a recent #1 rating and a friend's recommendation. Our dinner was not up to our expectations for even an average Italian restaurant. The special calamari appetizer tasted delicious but the calamari was tough, a sign of over cooking. We sent a sample back to the kitchen for the chef to see, which got no response.... More

Did not care for service, limited wine list. You would think an Italian restaurant would have better options from Italy. The dinner was pretty good, short rib w/risotto was ok, lasagne was above average. My friend enjoyed the Negrini cocktail.

the way a lovely dinner used to be still exists at Michelangelo. Ambience, Service, Menu and Quality at realistic fare. One of only a couple remaining establishments that have maintained their following for years. This family cares about their product and it shows. Periodic Special Evening Events are always a hit. The Sinatra Birthday Party couldn't have been in a... More

I usually wait 24 to 48 hours or more before writing a review on Tripadvisor. Here is a good example as to why: My husband and I went to Michelangelo for a small dinner party this past Thursday night. The restaurant has very nice ambiance and the wait staff seemed quite attentive...sometimes too attentive. Our party of eight had a... More

Beyond disappointed! We have been going to Michelangelo's for 18 years. I Googled the restaurant and clicked on the menu link (michelangelotucson.com). I then called in my order for pickup. I ordered the Chicken Mattone which it said was an airline breast for $18. The menu said it comes with soup and salad. I also ordered the Tortellini Bounarotti with... More

Excellent, from the moment that you walk in the door. The atmosphere was perfect with the lighting and the music. Potential to be very romantic. The food was amazing and probably some of the best Italian that we've ever had! Would return in a heartbeat.

This is one of our favorite Italian restaurants in Tucson. Now that the road construction is finished it's much easier to get in and out of. The food is always great as is the service. They have a decent wine list and you never feel rushed. If you haven't been there put it on the calendar!

Michaelangelo has been an Italian food staple for years. Service is constantly friendly and courteous. While the food is good, the portions are GIGANTIC. The starter salad is the size of a dinner salad, then you have the rolls, then your meal comes. If you get the chicken grigliata, I can guarantee, you won't be able to finish it. They... More

This is a traditional Italian restaurant run by the family for a couple generations. The atmosphere is pleasant and attractive, the welcome warm and genuine, and the service just right. The food was good and by the way we have just come back from two weeks in Italy, so our standards were up a bit. We started with flatbread bruschetta,... More
