We went to Li'l Abner's for dinner with friends from the area who recommended it and had one of the best burgers I've had in a long time. We ate outdoors, near the huge grill, and watched the sunset, and it was fun to see some of the guys eating these gigantic steaks down to the bone!! The food comes... More

Maybe I am just more picky It is wood BBQ which is nice but that is more common now so not such a treat anymore. I am not huge on baked potato so no points there (although those who love baked potatoes seem to love these ones) their beans are amazing though! It is probably worth going as Tucson isn't... More

This was our second visit and it did not disappoint! The building would never pass fire and health code in NYS, but that adds to its charm. Limited menu of the best steak I've had in years, sides of beans, salsa, and Texas toast were great. My husband had ribs that were great too, with an awesome sauce. Definite must... More

On a trip back to chandler az from Dallas tx we stopped here for our last break. We split a ribeye and it was cooked to perfection!!! It was fork tender and the sides were more than enough. No room for dessert. Texas toast was the best I've ever had. This was a wonderful find and would highly recommend.

I met my husband at this restaurant 30 years ago during a professional conference (we all met to go to dinner and we were introduced by a mutual friend while at dinner). At the time, it was the only establishment within several miles - it was way out in the middle of nowhere. It served steak, chicken, and Turquoise Margaritas.... More

Our friends told us about this place and said that we just hd to go. We combined a trip to the Desert Museum with this restaurant. Highly recommended. The restaurant was everything a great steak house should be. The outdoor kitchen cooked our beef ribs to perfection. And you get lots of food - no going away hungry. The atmosphere... More

Sit outside at one of the picnic tables and enjoy being outside. Wear clothes you don't mind getting smoky. They cook on an open fire pit and occasionally, there is smoke. I ordered a ribeye, medium rare. It was cooked medium. I honestly wasn't certain the young man cooking knew exactly what he was doing. But I'm not sure. The... More

This restaurant has alway been one of my favorite restaurants, if not for the food alone but the laid back family atmosphere. This time was completely different. From the time we sat down outside with our kids (2,3 and 4) the owner gave us problems. We were told to get control of our kids, who weren't being destructive or disruptive.... More

This is one place that I absolutely miss about Tucson after moving to Washington. A favorite stomping ground and watering hole, my family would visit about every other week or at least once a month. The service was excellent, the food fantastic, the atmosphere a little off putting to those of you who obviously can't see country charm and by... More

The merits of Li'l Abner's have been taken away one-by-one to the point the value is not there any longer. The long-time live bands have been taken away (to save cash). The ranch and blue cheese salad dressings have been changed and are now horrible (I would guess in order to save cash). The BBQ sauce has recently been changed... More
