The ribs are great other items on the menu very so-so, And high end pricing. There are a lot of places that are better for the dollars spent. The cuisine and setting are great but the food falls short.

Excellent service, excellent ribs, super funky decor and good drinks, what else is needed?!? Can't wait to return next spring break.

A Tucson legend with great steaks grilled over mexican mesquite. The building is a dusty old stage-coach stop about 100 years old, so if you're looking for Michelin Guide fine-dining this may not be the place for you. What it is, is an unvarnished un-Disneyfied genuine cowboy steak joint. You can still see where they used to rodeo out in... More

WOW! I have not eaten at Li'l Abner's Steakhouse since the early '60s when it was way out on Silverbell Rd in the middle of nowhere. Now it's in the same place on Silverbell Rd and it's in the middle everything. All has changed but this little bit of Tucson restaurant history. Ate here last night with family and friends.... More

The aroma of steaks on the grill as you walk in to the patio area is outrageous! I've been here twice and will return every time I'm in the area. The place has a lot of character (don't expect white linens) and a staff that is extremely attentive. It's only about 5 - 10 minutes from all the chain restaurants... More

Lil Abner's has been in Tucson for years! It used to be an old stage coach stop and they haven't done too much in decorating. It's a true old western experience with the nicest staff and the most wonderful steaks and chicken grilled outside using mesquite wood. You can order potatoes if you want, but don't do it! A salad... This is not a classy place. But comes highly recommended so we thought we'd try it Service was quick and friendly. Salad mostly lettuce and carrot but kept you busy whilst waiting for the main course. Decor - previous customers have signed the walls! But closer inspection shows the place to be clean. Good steak- smoky taste, big potato -... More

Exactly 50 years ago (Feb.1965) I was the first time at Li'l Abner's. At that time in the middle of no where. By the years in between I was always a very content guest for 25 or 35 times, I never found such a comparable steak quality in Germany. Before our last Abner's visit I felt myself full of happyness... More

First let me say I have been a fan of Lil' Abner's for about 10 years. The steaks never dissapoint. HOWEVER...over the last 2 years the service has been so bad my party and I did not even stay long enough to place our order. In December 2014, i was in Tuscon for a business trip. Several of us went... More

After being about 18 years since the last time we went to Lil Abner's it doesn't appear to have changed. When a restaurant can survive decades of serving pretty much the same thing, it just has to be doing things right. Loved our dinner last night and we won't wait so long next time to come back.
