Five years ago, we were visiting Tucson during the winter for the first of what would become our annual Tucson trek. Playing a round of golf with a couple of locals who recommended Li'l Abners to us... and we've been hooked ever since!! Li'l Abners is NOT a fancy steakhouse, so if that is what you are looking for, go... More

We've just returned to AZ after five years in Poland and decided to celebrate our anniversary at Li'l Abner's Steakhouse. It reminds me of Mormon Lake Lodge (or the way the Lodge was in the 1970s when I used to work there). We both feel that this will be the perfect place to take friends who visit from Poland. It... This restaurant is a neat dining experience. You can watch the food being cooked over a mesquite fire grill. If weather is nice you can eat outside. Food is very good, love the texas toast and beans/salsa. It is a bit expensive

the decades have taken their toll...........last visit was a disappointment for all couples two of whom were visitors. Outside BBQ pits not even in operation and our steaks were lousy. Prices have increased and quality is gone. They are relying on cowboy theme to carry them, forgot that they are a restaurant ?

I go to Li'l Abners on a regular basis because they have good food, and a wonderful atmosphere and their staff are hard working and always cheerful. My son-in-law comes here quarterly from Australia and he travels all over the globe and he looks foreward to going to Li'l Abners every time he comes here. A bit expensive, but well... More

This is my favorite restaurant to visit in the Tucson area, and one of my favorite anywhere. Yes, it is a "dive" with the most basic of decor. There are not even any printed menus. What they do however is produce amazingly good, wood fired steaks, chicken and ribs. My favorite are the pork ribs- which are the best I've... More

To sum it up in a few words "skimpy and way overpriced" for the amount of food and drink that was given. The atmosphere was like a cheep bar. I would think that to stay in business they will need to lower there prices and provide more on the plate and in the glass.

For the review above that says it is pricey for a steak and beans....they would be right...BUT you get a steak, salad, baked potato (or corn on the cob), beans and bread. So although pricey it is a good value. My husband makes amazing steaks on his grill and it has made us both picky when going out to eat.... More

We were there on a Friday night and there were only a few cars in the parking lot. Pricey place for steak and beans (7 oz filet for $26.95). We ate outside on a picnic bench. The waitress was great as was the food but no need to dress up. I had a baked potato and salad for $8.00. Drinks... More
