Solid steak housr

Had a great steak here. I chose the rib eye with the bone and it was cooked to perfection. The grill gave it a nice little crust but the inside was soft and juicy and really flavoursome. Great piece of meat. Really traditional place for a steak dinner. Sides leave a bit to be desired. Our corn... read more

Meat and fire. That's all you really need to know. Everything that was served as perfectly cooked over a wood fire grill that's right outside the main entrance. I had the beef ribs. They were fall-off-the-bone perfect. If you have a chance and want a great, smokey slab of meat—this is your place.

We went to this restaurant last night in hopes for some serious redmeat. Three of us I ordered the ribs, one of us ordered a steak, and one of us ordered a hamburger. Every single one of them was perfectly done. The ribs, which I ate, were the best beef ribs I have ever eaten in my entire life. I... More

Run down picnic tables, etc are part of the charm of this restaurant. It is not cheap, but you consistently receive delicious food prepared to perfection. We always get a filet for me, slab of ribs for my husband. We share the baked potato because they are large. He loves the complimentary Texas toast, beans and salsa. A la carte,... More

Love the food and entertainment. The musicians and singers are amazing for their age. We had such a great time.

Tucson is getting more and more tame, but this place is what the boonies must have been 40 years ago. Sure, it's kind of dive-y, but the beef ribs and the cowgirl steak were top-notch and the hot fudge sundae was a perfect ending. The place is a very entertaining place to eat.

I'd like to start off by saying I've never been in a restaurant like it. The parking lot is gravel, the food is cooked outside the front door on an open pit. The majority of the inside tables are picnic style. We were given banquet table because of the number of people. The menu is limited but if you're not... More

Ate here several times - food is excellent, service is excellent, ambiance and surroundings are excellent. If you like steak - eat here, simple as that! It's a little bit pricey, so I'm going to have to click fine dining, but it's not fine dining - far from it, just good cowboy-style eating.

I've lived in Tucson since 1979, making me practically a native! I remember when 'Lil Abners was out in the boonies and a real treat. Went last night after a visiting friend wanted an authentic Tucson dinner to round out his trip. Bad idea! The place looks run down, but let's get right to the food. There were 3 of... More
