Still going after all these years!

When we lived in Tucson in the late 1970s, Li'l Abner's was out in the middle of the desert northwest of town. We loved going there because the meat was grilled outside on mesquite and the smell was out of this world. Forty+ years later, it still survives and although it is no longer out in the... read more

Left me full and wanting more. When I processed the thought I still was craving more. They are especially kind to our Beagle.

Much of the seating here is outside, menu very limited, did enjoy the ribs and steak dishes but value is not there. There is interesting history, but this place seems to be lost in the past without updating. Entertainment provided via guitar player who could not sing

We've been to Li'l Abner's multiple times in Tucson. We typically go more for the setting and atmosphere than the food. It is pricey with a limited menu and the food is not great, but it's a fun atmosphere especially if you go after dark when the band is playing, the fire is burning and you can smell the steaks... Returned after reading mixed reviews on tripadvisor. Expensive entrees with sides of beans, garlic bread and some type of salsa. Skip the overcooked beef ribs. They really need to kick it up a notch. Especially the service.

The ribs are great other items on the menu very so-so, And high end pricing. There are a lot of places that are better for the dollars spent. The cuisine and setting are great but the food falls short.

Excellent service, excellent ribs, super funky decor and good drinks, what else is needed?!? Can't wait to return next spring break.

A Tucson legend with great steaks grilled over mexican mesquite. The building is a dusty old stage-coach stop about 100 years old, so if you're looking for Michelin Guide fine-dining this may not be the place for you. What it is, is an unvarnished un-Disneyfied genuine cowboy steak joint. You can still see where they used to rodeo out in... More

WOW! I have not eaten at Li'l Abner's Steakhouse since the early '60s when it was way out on Silverbell Rd in the middle of nowhere. Now it's in the same place on Silverbell Rd and it's in the middle everything. All has changed but this little bit of Tucson restaurant history. Ate here last night with family and friends.... More

The aroma of steaks on the grill as you walk in to the patio area is outrageous! I've been here twice and will return every time I'm in the area. The place has a lot of character (don't expect white linens) and a staff that is extremely attentive. It's only about 5 - 10 minutes from all the chain restaurants... More
