This is Authentic!

We decided to try Mexican food for Sunday midday and wow that was fun! We arrived to a very busy restaurant and were greeted and seated immediately. Chips, Salsa with iced tea arrived shortly after. The Marachi Band was singing loudly. Now, normally I want to flee when a Marachi Band wanders by. I... read more

These guys just know how to make salsa. we've had salsa all over this town & many, many others. If you're craving the best...Los Portales knows it & throws it. This & a shrimp Bruchetta? Heaven. Best Tortillas in town too...

On our way to Phoenix and wanted food southwestern food. I called my son who lived in Tucson for the past six years and told him I wanted near the I-10, authentic and not overpriced. He recommended Los Portales and we were very happy!! Great service! Good salsa and chips which they gladly refilled three times and great food!! I... More

Seasoned waitress spilled margaritas and soda on my 3 month old! Poor kid had tequila and dr. Pepper soaked in his clothing and stroller.. The waitress just says, I'm sorry, then continued with the orders.. Like everything was good. What was left for them was well deserved..

Not crowded, but not empty. Clean. Prompt Service and very good food. I had the bruschetta mixto and it was very tasty. My husband had the chili relleno, said it was good. (not much of a food guy, I'm afraid) Their salsa is excellent. Chips were warm and good. Thank Goodness the guacamole had no weird additions (like the cottage... More

We went for my birthday brunch at around 11:00 am on a Sunday morning. Mariachis were playing when we walked in. There was only about a 5-6 minute wait for us to get a booth seating four people. The buffet had a cook making omlets to order with plenty of spicy and traditional ingredients. There was a shredded beef soul... More

We found this charming restaurant recently and thoroughly enjoyed our meal. Usually lunch buffets are not my favorite, but after seeing this one we tried it and were pleasantly surprised. I saw several different customers take a look at the buffet and then order it. The food is traditional Sonoran style Mexican food: tamales, enchiladas (red and green) mini chimichangas,... More

Their lunch buffet has a great selection and a great price. Buffet has tamales, flautas, beef and chicken tacos, soups and more. Their regular menu items are good to. The tortillas are good. The service was good. Its just a all around good place.

This review is based on their breakfast buffet - a pleasant surprise when we visited yesterday. While we did peruse the full menu, chock full of delicious menu items we decided to go with the breakfast buffet they had in a separate room. I am not sure if they do this every day or just weekends but either way it... More
