Tasty Indian Food for Reasonable Cost

I was literally heading somewhere else and saw this place. Decided to give it a shot. I was pleasantly surprised. I arrived around 12:15pm and there was only one person eating, which made me a bit nervous. Only two more people came in by the time I left. That said, beats waiting in line trying... read more

Hi there Bubba G. I am glad you were able to find us, and try our food. We are working on decorating the place and giving it an overall theme still. We are small so we add on little piece at a time when resources become available. Hopefully by the time you visit us again, we will have a more... More

The Curry Leaf is a modest little restaurant with a very spartan atmosphere (e.g. absolutely nothing on the tables, and bare walls other than a mural on one wall). Certainly nothing fancy. I stopped by for lunch and ordered the chicken curry with some plain naan. I really enjoyed the flavors of the meal. Unlike many ethnic restaurants, I was... More

Dined in once. The owner is the one who cooks. His sun is always around you for need. Food is excellent but spicy. Good experience.

Curry Leaf is easy to miss but don't! This is a charming, low-key, authentic Indian restaurant that's well worth visiting. Unlike most Indian restaurants in Tucson, CL does not have a lunch buffet; everything is from the menu and cooked to order. The menu is pretty extensive with something for every palate, including gluten-intolerant folks. We were a threesome, had... More

We went as a group of 7 people for dinner. We had the place to ourselves and the owner waited on us. He was warm and welcoming, but not intrusive. The food was fantastic. It may be the only restaurant in the Tucson area that specializes in South Indian food. Beware of the hotness factor. Even the dishes ordered "mild"... More

You can drive by Curry Leaf and not see it. It is that understated. We had Tandoori Chicken and Kabaas Lamb. Both were wonderful. Peshwari Naan was lovely with raisins, almonds, cherries and coconut powder. Come and be delighted!

Having been to India I feel I am able to make that statement. This little comfortable place is family owned and staffed! The food is the best in town for the flavor of India and perfect for gluten free diners. Portions are a good size and the mixture of the spices is superb. I have tried many places in Tucson,... Wanted a quick, easy yet delicious meal after a long day of travel and this was it. No need to dress up, quick service by a very nice elderly Indian gentleman who noticed my phone and immediately gave me the wifi password. The food was very yummy and big portion. Would definitely recommend, esp with children

I've been here four times and I couldn't say why. Maybe because I love Indian food and it's close to my house. On the second occasion, the server walked out on his job during our service, complaining about management. On the last visit (a few months ago) the waitress was there for her first day. She brought our dishes out... More
