Impressive every taste.

I visit this gelateria maybe once every two weeks. I think I'll grow used to it, but every bite impresses me. It is always better than I expect. It is a wonderful and fresh taste. Also the flavors are very creative. Everyone in Tucson should eat gelato here. My son also thinks the hot... read more

I nearly visited this restaurant every evening of our vacation. I tried 12 flavors and every single one was very good with the ORANGE being exceptional. Come to find out, they fresh squeeze oranges in the morning to make this gelato. You can really taste the difference.

Ivan is the master gelatiere in the region! A master of classic ... and unusual ... flavors of both gelati and sorbeti. If you're in the area, do not miss his delicious all natural desserts. Actually, have them as an appetizer. As a famous philosopher once said, Life is short. Eat dessert first.

It an independent store, makes it's own gelato. My Favorite is the saffron flavored, though the pistachio is great as well. Its a must for visitors to Tucson!

I had my first taste of gelato at Vivoli's Gelateria in Florence in the 1970s (peanut ). After that, I was hooked. The best gelato we've had is in Tucson at Allegro. They make their gelato with organic whole milk and spring water. The flavors are natural, no commercial mixes are used and the flavors show their provenance. Allegro's has... More

I have tried numerous flavors, and every one is amazing. All natural, and the owner is from Italy, and trained at a culinary school that specializes in gelato. I originally went because a friend told me it was fantastic, and she was SO RIGHT. I would go there every day if I could. This gelato is DIVINE.

I always feel a little let down by Allegro -- it's all right, but never quite as good as I think it should be. The décor is not welcoming, and I prefer the gelato at Frost.

I sampled just about every flavor they have hoping that the next flavor I tried would just get the disgusting taste from the last one out of my mouth. Yuck. Couldn't find a single flavor that I enjoyed. Won't ever be coming back to allegro.

Dear Jamie, We are so sorry that we could not make you happy with our product. Our gelato and sorbets differs from other brands since we are enforcing a totally different philosophy in making it. We strive to be the best but we totally agree that we can't be loved by everybody. We are sorry that you are not coming... More

I am a Frost fanatic but unfortunately there isn't a close by location to where I live (U of A area) so its a rare treat for me these days. When I discovered a gelato shop near the U of A I was over the moon. Had to try it! Was not disappointed. My overall assessment is they have high... More

I've been savoring Allegro's gelato for a number of years now, and each visit is just as good as the last, with consistent service and product being the hallmarks of this outstanding establishment. Additionally, the unique flavor offerings, not found at other gelato shops, are reason to keep returning.
