Real Italian gelato!

We just returned from Italy, where we had delicious gelato several times, and we found Allegro to be just as good, if not better, than some we had had in Florence. Allegro has a great variety of imaginative favors, along with the standards. It is displayed beautifully in a sort of giant lazy Susan... read more

By the moment, me and my family just tried the ice creams and we loved them. Next time I'd like to try the gelatos and stuff..

I'll start out by saying I have been a big fan of Allegro since it opened. Their gelato is still the best but I'm downgrading my review to 3 stars because when I went last night after being out of town the place was filthy. It has never been like this. It has always been spotless. The glass table tops... More

I tried the Sea Salt Caramel and Hazelnut gelato and it was very delicious. I was impressed with their selection. They let you try as many flavors prior to selection. I will be visiting again to try the others. Photo: https://instagram.com/p/3z0L2gzTTD/

Very very good.. My opinion, and Iam not an expert on gelato, I loved the natural ingredients and creamy texture. Different from frost but just a good. Loved the owner. Felt like I was in Italy!! Will go back for sure. Gotta try it if you have't already.

I visit this gelateria maybe once every two weeks. I think I'll grow used to it, but every bite impresses me. It is always better than I expect. It is a wonderful and fresh taste. Also the flavors are very creative. Everyone in Tucson should eat gelato here. My son also thinks the hot chocolate is the best in the... More

I nearly visited this restaurant every evening of our vacation. I tried 12 flavors and every single one was very good with the ORANGE being exceptional. Come to find out, they fresh squeeze oranges in the morning to make this gelato. You can really taste the difference.

Ivan is the master gelatiere in the region! A master of classic ... and unusual ... flavors of both gelati and sorbeti. If you're in the area, do not miss his delicious all natural desserts. Actually, have them as an appetizer. As a famous philosopher once said, Life is short. Eat dessert first.

It an independent store, makes it's own gelato. My Favorite is the saffron flavored, though the pistachio is great as well. Its a must for visitors to Tucson!

I had my first taste of gelato at Vivoli's Gelateria in Florence in the 1970s (peanut ). After that, I was hooked. The best gelato we've had is in Tucson at Allegro. They make their gelato with organic whole milk and spring water. The flavors are natural, no commercial mixes are used and the flavors show their provenance. Allegro's has... More
