I had the fortune of being in Tucson for a week and having a gelato every night (don't have this at home!). I alternated between Frost and Allegro, and both are fantastic. However, I want to give Allegro the slight edge because 1) the biscotti biscuit is better, 2) they will mix two flavors in a small size, and 3)... More

We were intrigued by the look of the place - with the fancy rotating display of the gelatos. We tried a few flavours and don't remember disliking any of them. My wife loved her chocolate gelato, but I'd highly recommend the pistachio gelato. I'll be going back here if/when I'm in Tucson again.

The generous sampling allowance is a sweet welcome, especially as myriad choices are all beckoning for a taste. I settled on three this time: cinnamon, grasping the spice with power, kiwi, because who can peel or scoop so many kiwi as quickly as one enjoys this gelato made from the fruit itself and a splatter of spicy chocolate sorbet, the... Ivan is a true Italian and graduated from a gelato school in Italy and crafts some of the best stuff to hit your taste buds ever. He uses only natural, fresh, and high quality ingredients. There are so many flavors that are my "favorites." Some of which are strawberry (which tastes just like fresh strawberries from Central Valley in CA,... More

Pleasantly surprised! Not too sweet as some gelato can be, just simple perfection. Lots of flavors to choose from. I'll be back!

What this place lacks in space and ambiance is more than made up for by the quality of the gelato. My friends who brought me here are Tuscon natives, and they had recently traveled to Italy- and they are convinced that the gelato at Allegro is better than half the gelato they had in Italy. The guy who owns this... More

There are two great gelato places in Tucson and this is one of them. Tested several flavors, all excellent.

The Gelato at Allegro is as good as the local chain Frost, but they do offer some more exotic flavors. We often find saffron, aniseed, and other interesting flavors there.

The care given to the Gelato here is immense. The staff let you try as many flavors as you want until you match what you want exactly. With flavors from classics such as caramel to the strangest like mushroom, it always is amazing!

Best gelato ever. Amazing flavors and great staff. Can u imagine tasting porcini mushroom, saffron, or cantelope gelato? Watching the impressive circular freezers turn is worth the trip and fewer calories than ice cream. The subtle flavors are beyond description. Don't be scared they have "normal" flavors, too. A++++++++++
